Going past the South of the Border signs is fun S>O>B> not so much;)
I never said anything about stopping. I stopped once and they charge a quarter to use the bathroom. Less then a mile past that is the So. Carolina Welcome Station (heading South) and the No. Carolina WS (heading North) with all the free toilets you could possibly need. Never made that mistake again.:)

We took an hour or two once to explore the SOtB area. The shops were pretty cute but the hot dog we ate was gross and made us really sick an hour down the road.

Off to game #2 this weekend.. game 3 is later on this afternoon. So far T has really gained confidence during games again.. it’s like watching his old self before the confidence shake, but better.

He woke up at 6am and said “today is hat trick day. I had a dream that I got a hat trick. That dream will become a reality this morning.”

Have fun at the games! Glad T has gained his confidence again.

I think that at one time it was a serious tourist stop, but, over the years just became a sad old time road side attraction, more tacky then entertaining. They have also replaced and reduced the number of road signs along the highway starting at least a hundred miles in either direction. They were very entertaining and also helpful in knowing how far away from the SC/NC border you were. Pedro says! They were very funny and clever, but, a lot were not politically correct.

Hope T manages a hat trick. Hooray for his confidence returning! :)

We always wonder how it stays in business. There never seem to be many cars stopped there no matter what time of year we have passed by. We drove through once just to see it, but didn't actually stop anywhere.
They get a lot of their business from people heading to Myrtle Beach. That exit is a short cut to the highway going there. Also people wanting to pick up a few SOTB souvenirs, Then there is the hour long hotel fees, truckers and drug dealers pretending to be typical tourists. Not that I'm judging! ................................. #imjudging #notsorry

Good morning from HS! I am waiting in the shade for DH to do RnRC. I do not do that ride-once was enough. 😁We have FP for star tours-of course- @Mr Ferret 88 and @StarWarsGirl 😜, and alien saucers.

Have a good day! I don't do RNRC much either anymore. Going upside down gives me headaches. You could wait for your hubs at Baseline Taphouse! ;) It's open and right next to Star Tours!

I never know I go upside down in the dark until I've gotten through it. I'm not even sure how often it puts you upside down. All I remember is one, but, have been told there is more. I've been on it around 5 times.

It is at least 2 maybe 3 times. I get headaches on any ride that goes upside down. I let my middle schoolers talk me into going on a corkscrew roller coaster when we took them to a regional theme park for school last year and I had a headache after. The headache doesn't last too long after. So now I just try to avoid it, but Rock n Roller Coaster is fun with the music and everything that I brave it every once in awhile.

I think RNRC is rather easy to handle. Runs and hides under large rock
