I know, right? It's a heck of a thing to wake up to. I'm glad they caught them. They were planning a major attack on a large national event, but the investigation has yet to uncover the target. But they did find weapons and they had correspondence from the men where they were trying to find places to practice with them. And I'm not sure whether they FOUND jackets with explosives or found evidence that the men were trying to get ahold of some, but they did say the head man wanted to kill many people. I guess the neighbors are flabbergasted because they said the people who lived in my BIL's street brought around treats for "National neighbors day" last week. They had never had any problems with them. Suddenly there are swat team people hiding in bushes and throwing flashbang grenades into the house and swarming in. That must have been terrifying for the neighbors!!

Very pretty. Your pictures of the Austin area have totally changed my thoughts of what Texas looks like. In a good way, of course.:)

I think Iā€™ve posted this here before, but...

My folks were remodeling a house in my motherā€™s hometown many years ago, and we went to stay there Labor Day weekend. When we walked in DWifey saw a baby mouse scurry under the warped end of a small stack of boards, screamed, and jumped up on a ladder that was nearby. I knew DWifey wouldnā€™t stay in the house with the mouse ;), so I did the first thing that came to mind... I leaped up in the air and came down on the board...problem solved. :cautious::cyclops:
Upon further inspection, it turns out there were actually seven mice under there...the event henceforth became known as ā€œThe Great Labor Day Mouse Massacreā€...!!!!! :hilarious::cautious::cyclops:;)

DD says it's creepy, because she's been past there so many times to get to the playground, or to help walk the dog my in-laws were sitting, and it's where my FIL took the kids to teach them to ride their bikes. I'm thinking my BIL must not have been home last night, or we probably wouldn't have had to see it on the news!

Scary, and glad they were caught. Your BIL had no clue anything devious was going on next door?
