It's not the same thing, but I have planted bulbs in some pots and then put them in the refrigerator for while (I can't remember how long I think it was a month). The refrigerator gives them that dormancy, and then took them out and they grew and bloomed. I think the same method can be done with tulips too.
yep...I've done that too. You can even buy pre-cooled bulbs. Still, nothing like seeing a huge bed of daffs out in the yard. Now, we have amaryllis (I call them FL Tulips) in landscaping beds. They bloom about May, so at least there's that.

Stop throwing pizzas. :jawdrop::joyfull:
This house is up the street from me and apparently the family who lives there is feeling harassed by the public visiting. I have never visited as much as I just drove by.

Yeah right. He's not holding up his end of the bargain - Mr. I got all the fancy camera stuff, and JenniferS posts with just her iPhone. ;)

P.S. I'm making Canadianized tacos for Son #1's birthday tomorrow.
Pretty basic. 5 kg beef. Taco seasoning packets. Warmed tortillas. Sour cream. Shredded cheese. Salsa. Shredded lettuce. And chopped tomatoes (pass!).

Pics to follow, assuming the vultures don't destroy my kitchen.
no guacamole !!!!!!!!!!?????????????!?!?!?!??!??!?!??

People sometimes do not even process or try to understand to verify the validity.
Its like their brain closes down and only check the image or the text, not the source or if its logical.
I've seen people who are dumb enough to believe these fake Abraham Lincoln jokes about how he loves the internet.
Critical thinking is a thing of the past. I don't know how many times I have read comments on a news story from someone who only read the headline or looked at a pic.

I have relatives who regularly post about the dangers of vaccines on their FB pages. I call them out every time they use a bad source.

I mean, I understood when my cousin-in-law did not want the baby to have five vaccines in one day and then chose to limit the amount he did get because the poor kid already has a latex allergy, so they are proceeding with caution just in case (and considering a certain relative of his is full on allergic to one vaccine...guess who that would be:rolleyes:...I don't blame her). What I don't understand is why my aunt and cousin regularly post unverified articles about vaccinations on their FB pages. And they are both medical professionals! But it must be true; you read it on the internet.

The best part is that the cider makes it a fruit. Any Doctor will tell you that more is better when it comes to fruit.

The proper wording would be: But... the 1% imagined risk of autism!

Let me explain something here. When I lived up north many charities sold Daffodils to raise money, Why? Because they were scarce as an honest politician. Here in NC, which is really the northern end of the south, we use literal fields of them for beauty accents at interstate entrances and exits. I'm not kidding... large expanses of Daffodils a two entrances and two exits of each interchange. So you need not worry... Daffodils await you.
th
I have never...ever...seen a natural daffodil in the ground in FL.

Well, maybe you don't get out much! ;):joyfull:
How much is "much"? ;)
The only thing I could imagine is maybe planting daffs in the fall up in the panhandle and getting blooms in the spring, but I cannot imagine them coming back the following year or that people would do that one season planting very much. I've been all over the state during every season and just cannot recall ever seeing daffodils. YMMV.
FWIW, when we moved here, we brought lots of plants down to transplant, including hostas, lilies, roses, hyacinth, daffodils. The only thing that survived was the roses, and I have to baby them in the summer.
