And, this next shot is especially for anyone who was concerned about my Cozumel excursion footwear choice from last December which involved a walking tour...this excursion didn’t...so, flip flops complete with Cozumel sand on my toesies in pretty much the same beach chair I was lounging in on our last cruise..!!!!!



Ok, out for now, but, hope to post a bit more before we sail outta’ service about 5p-ish central...!

We watch most movies on the Hoopla app! I can’t forget to return digital copies.. Hoopla doesn’t have many new releases, but they do have many great old Disney movies.

I like my library they can get almost anything I want and my boys like going there

Hoopla is a free library app attached to your library card.. it’s really great when you just want to watch or listen to something in the evening. If you don’t have it you should download it!
I love the library too but half the time we decide to watch a movie in the evening., and library hours aren’t conducive to that...there’s even parental controls on the app, although your kids may be old enough to not need that feature. It’s nice because I can view everything my son does on it. The rentals are 24 hours I think.. maybe a few days.

Old school movies from my childhood..but it is rare to find new Disney release movies, I’m ok with that because kiddo has enjoyed movies like The Music Man, Chitty Chitty BangBang and Swiss Family Robinson..and The Black Cauldron...brings me back to myself as a kid.

When I got married in Dec. 1999, for a couple of years my wife and I would get free library dvd movies. It was a nice entertainment option for people on a budget.

Our libraries still have a DVD and CD section, but it’s small. There’s so much more on the app. I think it was very smart for libraries to add a digital option...especially since it’s free! We don’t even have Netflix, Hulu, or Prime right now.

Our library downtown has really modernized itself.. the main Cincy library app is really neat too, fun quiz questions that kiddo loves.. book recommendations.. and a place to reserve time at MakerSpace. You can do everything from sew, to use a green screen and cameras, to 3D printing etc.. libraries have definitely changed from when I was little! I don’t even think kiddo would know how to find a book the old school way
One more thing to make me feel ancient.

I'll let you know in 20 years ago. Yup, it works really fine. Used to be better though back when they had yearly conventions with information, and famous speakers and famous "older" musicians like James Taylor, etc. for entertainment plus held in really good locations like Vegas, Atlanta and Orlando. Always provided a really good reason to go to it. The only bad one they scheduled was for New Orleans in 2005. Scheduled to happen about a month after Katrina. I went to the Disneyland 50th instead. So win for me. At the Vegas one I got to get my picture taken with Cindy Williams, Shirley from Laverne and Shirley.
