@StarWarsGirl has your family been to TSL yet? If so how did they make out?
They did. They extended their trip a day to do it on opening day. They had a FP for Slinky Dog and used the DAS for Alien Swirling Saucers. They got there at 8 and left at noon to go to Epcot and accomplished what they wanted to with the DAS and FPs. Wall to wall people, though, they said.

I'm most likely going on August 17th. I have a 3 pm flight thanks to summer hours at work, and it's an EMH night at DHS.

Thanks and yes it was yesterday. It was a pretty low key day. Brad was out of town so Kapono and I spent the day hanging out. There was just a little panic at the end of the day, I went to take my meds after dinner and I was out of one that I really need. Luckily I didn't eat a late dinner and Walgreens was open still!
Sorry, I missed your birthday. Sounds like it was alright. Best wishes for the year! And more trips...with lots of pictures.

A few have gone off in my area as well -- I'm sure the fools are testing their stash, with the BIG night coming up. Oh joy, oh joy . . . NOT. :banghead: Jack hates fireworks and shakes like a leaf. He scratches at the bedroom door to be let in, so that he feels safer in there (there's a little corner that he goes to for "protection", in his dog mind).
Poor pup. We live across from a field, and on Sunday, someone set up a lovely (sarcasm if you didn't notice) private display had the kids and older parents in the bleachers. And Princess Jasmine really loves them. Poor thing. At least we saw this one coming. Starting tonight, we have quite a few neighbors that like to do the ones that just go boom. No pretty colors, no ooohhhh and ahhhhh. Just giant boom. That rattles the whole house.

I went to pay our Disney Visa account yesterday and saw a charge for $635.95 for something called tickets. It was charged Saturday. Well, it wasn’t us. :mad:Called up Chase right away. They closed the account immediately. Now I just realized as well that I have a refund coming from Disney(canceled Hilton Head), and now it won’t know where to go.:banghead::banghead::banghead::mad: The charge hasn’t been reversed yet either. :(Guess it all takes a few days.:banghead::banghead::banghead:
I have been dealing with credit fraud this summer, and it is really not fun. Got my card number twice, and kept running up Airbnb charges. So much, that my cc company had me go file a police report.

Anyone have any plans for the 4th? Hate that it falls on a freaking Wednesday this year. Can't even stretch the holiday into a long weekend. I'm working all week (except for the 4th). I usually watch the concert from Wash. DC in the evening. I like that show, and it's nice to see all the military people represented in the audience.

The only other thing I'm doing on the 4th is baking a blueberry loaf cake--blueberries are traditional with me for the 4th. My mother used to bake a blueberry cake every 4th, so that's who I got started doing that. Hubs is running a road race in the morning--he does this every 4th. So he can run miles in the heat, and I'll stay home in a/c, and stuff my face with delicious blueberry cake! :joyfull::hungry::joyfull:
We have friends coming over. I really hope the it doesn't rain! I am planniing kabobs on the grill.

All types of fireworks are legal in PA now, so it should make for an interesting 4th this year.

These aren't legal, here. Doesn't stop people, though. The family coming over lives in a neighborhood that is about a 3 minute drive away. She was saying her area is always so quiet. But she does hear plenty in the distance. Yes, we are in the middle of that distant area she speaks of. My favorite are the people at the other end of our block. They tend to enjoy bottle rockets. You know, firework in glass bottle? They like to do them in the middle of the street. So after today, no driving or walking the pup that way.

We are on a pretty high hill in a valley area and are surrounded to the west and southeast by small mountains. On the 4th we can see displays from all over from our yard. It is pretty cool.

Can't like that. This is the 2nd card in 2 years that has gotten stolen. Both the Chase Disney Visa.
BofA. Shut down the first when I got the statement. Issued a new card. Got the new card. Memorial Day weekend, DH asks me to call to get the corrected balance. Ran it up again. Turns out, they opened the online banking with it, so all alerts were going to a fake email address, alerting them, not me. And they had my new card number before I did. It is all still a mess with the statements.

That is very cool! Tonight we will will be heading to see the fireworks at a nearby small town. The town is small, not the display. We like these because we can watch from the car, and it I see pretty easy to beat the crowd out of the parking lot.

We had a BofA checking account years ago. I think back in the early 2000’s our debit card was used to send money by Western Union to somewhere in the far east. I called them and they stopped the card. But then they said it could take about 2 weeks for them to look into in and refund the money. I left that bank right after that happened. 2 weeks!!

DH is off just that day so working around the house. Grilling out-turkey burgers. I just finished making potato salad and an apple crisp.

Yummm, apple crisp. I don't even think of making that until fall, though. I figured I would take a cue from @figmentfan423 , and put out vanilla ice cream and fresh berries. And some hot fudge, whipped cream, sprinkles and cherries.
