Just don't get the hate from some people regarding one team or the other. It was getting to me recently, and I even thought about bypassing the forums for a few days until it's all over. But I realized that most people are decent, and I'll just avoid the ones who can't seem to tone down the rhetoric for a few days.

I like it when people like you and some others present a balanced approach (regardless of what team you like--I'm sure all teams have their individual strengths), and just want to enjoy the game, and root for your favorites.

I might watch the halftime show though--that's usually good.
The Pats knocked my team out so I have to cheer against them. But I also root for the underdog when my team's not in.

Completely understandable--again, that's a balanced fan's perspective, and no hate. I hope you and your daughter enjoy the game, and all the snacks you both like, too. (I only get aggravated with people who are mean, and you're not mean.)

So we turned on the puppy bowl for a few minutes. There were some cute commercials with Goldens, like the family of 3 Golden's and the baby was dropped off for the first day of school. Dad just puts his head over the steering wheel because he is sad. So cute. And then...A commercial for men who are "crooked below the belt". Really? I have enough explaining to do about stuff on tv.:cautious:

My dislike is purely about Tim Brady. He left his pregnant girlfriend for Gisele. Plus, Gisele said she only wanted to be paid in Euros, and not USD. Well, I’m guessing you like the good ol’ Dollar now, don’t ya! :p

I’m just waiting for the football to be over so that I can fall into an emotional puddle of tears watching This Is Us.

I just checked the temp and it is up to 2 degrees with a windchill of -15. At least it is sunny out so that makes it more bearable. Although it also makes it deceiving, I have almost gotten the dog ready for a walk a couple times today because it looks nice out and then I remember it is so cold.

Sympathy like.
That's just sooooo friggin' cold...!!! :cold:

I just got off the phone with one of my old college roommates and looks like I'm going on a trip. Years ago, all of us roomies decided to go on a trip to San Francisco/Napa Valley when we were all 40. Well that time has come and of the 8 of us only 2 of us can go. Two of the old roomies will be pregnant in June (when the trip is planned), one has a child with serious health problems & money is tied up in that, one of my friends passed away (so obviously not going, maybe in spirit though), and one simply doesn't want to go, so that just leaves two of us. Like I said the plan was California, but somehow we ended up deciding on Gulf Coast Florida and 3 nights at Disney World!

My friend is not a Disney fan but really not a fan of rides. She has agreed to go to Epcot one day and the rest of the time we will do non-park things. I'm excited for the trip overall. But now I'm trying to decide if we should stay at Port Orleans or Swan/Dolphin. She is in charge of finding a place for the Gulf and I'm in charge of WDW. Hmmm, decisions decisions!

So sorry for the one friends passing, the others child's health issues, and so sorry it all had to be modified so much, but, glad to hear it's still happening. Have an awesome time...!!!!!

And, to me, the halftime show is always my least favorite part...!!!!! :hilarious:

Hi everyone, sorry I have been absent! Doing the live trip report while in Disney just took up all my non Disney time. I'll try and catch up but not sure I can read over a hundred pages.
A few of us got colds but are all better, we complained about the cold, @Mr Ferret 88 is unwell in more ways than one, @donaldtoo broke a finger and claims he has no pain and we missed you. Now you're all ketchedupped
