Your dad paid for your phone? Lucky you!
I never have a phone with a contract because it is so much cheaper to get a pay as you go. I bought a new phone last month because my old one was so old the Disney app wouldn't run on it anymore. My new one is a Sony but I don't like it as much as my old LG.
He paid for my phone through college. I had to pay for the device. My mom wanted the ability to contact me. But he was really cheap about it. I was on a 10 cents a minute plan with no texting for a long time. Then we added a 200 texts per month plan for about $5 per month extra, but my mom was the only one allowed to text me. Once I got to college, they switched me over to the $25 unlimited talk and text plan. I didn't have data until June of 2016 when I intended to get it for just a month when we went to Disneyland since DL is very behind on the times and has no in park WiFi. That was $40 per month. I had my dad's blessing on that one (it made it much easier to check wait times for rides. And baseball scores ). I decided to keep the data because at the time, I had an internship about an hour away and needed the navigation on my phone. I offered to pay the difference for the data, but my dad never made me. I took over the bill when I started working full time. It's still $40 per month (prepaid) AT&T, unlimited talk and text, 6 GBs of high speed data per month, if you use it up, its unlimitted at slower speeds, and if you don't use it up (which I never do) it rolls over for use the next month. I looked into their contract plans and was like:eek: Nope, sticking with prepaid. Not when I can get decent phones at reasonable prices.

My mom got an LG after she got rid of her last Samsung. I was a bit distrustful of Samsung after the whole thing with the exploding phone batteries. Her LG was so nice that I got an LG. My last two were HTCs. Nice features, terrible battery life, and they started carping out after less than two years. I love this one. It's an LG X Venture. Nice and thin, but shock resistant, dust resistant, water resistant, and it has a finger print reader, which I didn't even know until I set it up. I like that it takes me less time to unlock now. And now I don't have to worry about it when I go on Splash Mountain. And I can take it in the bath tub with me. :D

We woke up to snow on the ground in Chicago this morning. Not ready for this.
I'm not either. This was this morning when we were only supposed to get snow showers.

My phone also feels the need to remind me about the snow...

FYI, there's not supposed to be snow in front of Rey.
Okay...if that's an app...I need it!

I hate google but agree on that point. Siri does stink.
Apparently I say "are you serious" way too much because she's popped on and tried to answer that question like 10 times this week! :hilarious:
I never drank the Apple kool aid. I much prefer Android. That being said I have never spoken to my phone, I would feel weird doing that.
It's super fun when the kids do it! :hilarious:

We did not receive as much snow today as was predicted. My front yard here at the Jersey Shore looks like this. The guys covered in snow on the chairs are Santa and Snowman.
Now that darkness has fallen, the tree is lit up a bit. I'll let you see it from the vantage point of my living room 'cause Beauty and the Beast look so romantic in this lighting.

So I decided to be kind of bold and texted my boss last night to tell her I wouldn't be in to work till 11am today. I didn't ask, just told her. After that I turned off my phone and went to bed. Slept in this morning till 7.30, I picked up my new shoes and went food shopping.
I hadn't had breakfast yet and when I got to Aldi I proved why it isn't a good idea to shop when you are hungry.
I think you totally deserved that since you worked on what was supposed to be your day off!

This stream is close to the supermarket I went to this morning, I thought it looked very pretty with the snow so I took a picture.
Beautiful! I love the way trees look with snow on them. I miss that about my college town...there were a lot of trees and what I LOVED was the day AFTER it snowed, when it would be sunny and the sun would reflect off the snow on the trees and make them look silver and glittery. Gorgeous!!
