Ha....we should have about 70 for sale in a few days if our lawyer gets her butt in gear! She did FINALLY get the paperwork sent to my PoA to sign, which he did and sent it back. So once my brother signs it, they can file it with the county clerk and then everything in dad's estate is FINALLY ours and we can sell it! Halle-freaking-lujah!
Finally is right! I thought it would never happen and sending some pixie dust they sell quickly!

The latest in nature at SWG's...

Last night, Belle was sitting by the window leading to the back deck. I noticed her tail was flipping, she was pointing...clearly, she was seeing something. I figured it was a squirrel or something, but decided to look.

It was a possum. A big one; bigger than they were. Poor guy is probably so confused by the weather and was just looking for someplace warm.

We've lived here 18 years and none of us had ever seen a possum before.

We have them here, but I only usually see them as roadkill.:eek:

I've seen them as roadkill, but never alive, let alone on the deck.

We've had snakes, groundhogs, foxes, raccoons, tortoises, turkeys...possum is new.
They are not the cutest creatures for sure. Nasty little things. We had a groundhog go onto our deck last year when I had lettuce and broccoli growing in some planters. I thought they were cute until then. Loads of beautiful lettuce and broccoli got chomped.

I'd say yes, you were lucky, BUT I am appalled at the reaction of the people. Which state were you in? Idaho or Wyoming? Wyomingites are generally MUCH more friendly and helpful. If you were in Wyoming, you must have just hit the wrong person's fence. I landed in a ditch once when I was driving home for my friend's wedding...I was probably about 20, and I missed my turn, so I went to turn around and my car stalled. I couldn't get it started again and there was a pickup pulling a horse trailer coming right at me and I was stopped sideways in the road. So I put it in neutral and pushed it to the side, but there was a ditch and down my car went. The nice lady in the pickup pulled me out, helped me get it started again, and gave me her phone number in case it died again, and got my mom's number so she could call her and let her know what happened and that I'd be late.
When my brother and I were in high school, his car died while we were on our way to my dad's to get gas before going into town to see a movie. We were on the side of the road for an hour and a half before another vehicle came along. The guy stopped, asked what was wrong, and drove us to our dad's to use the phone. Granted, we didn't drive through his fence, but MOST people in Wyoming would stop to help and wouldn't be so curmudgeony. Now I'm really curious to know exactly where you were!

With people being who they are I would never stop for people

I love hummus. I just buy store brands, and they all work for me! :hungry: One time, a woman at work (she's from the MIddle East), brought in some homemade hummus. It was very good, but to tell you the truth, really not much different from what I buy in the supermarket.
I agree I combine two humus's together. Cooked onion and red pepper. They are really good together!

Going to a huge Christmas craft fair (it's once a year at the MA World Trade Center). I usually don't buy much of anything, but I just like to putter around and gawk at stuff. (I probably spend more at the food concession for lunch, than buy from vendors. ;) ) Pain in the butt to get there, with connections via 2 buses and 2 trains though. But, I felt like doing something different this morning.
We have a big craft fair out here too, I go to get my Watkins vanilla, imitation.....it doesn't bake the flavor out. Really good and little alcohol to alter the flavor.

I try to go as long as possible when changing phones. I only got new phones when I was having serious issues. I just got the iPhone 7. I could have gotten the 8 but that would have raised my bill more than getting the new 7. That only raised my bill $10.

Last tim I saw my in laws they just got iPhone 8's and both bro-&sis-in law had the iPhone x on preorder. :cautious: I like new tech but I'm not one of the people that has to have the latest and greatest. My philosophy is If it works it seems like a waste to get something new just to have the newest.
Amen. If it's not broke, don't replace it!
