Yup.

It's so not-crowded today that they were running one train for Wildcat. And Lightning Racers. And there were a bunch of cars sitting there from Wild Mouse not being used. We only waited about 5 minutes for Skyrush, 10 for Fahrenheit, 15 for Comet...we're in line for Laff Track. I think at 30 minutes, this will be our peak wait for today.
Wow! We should have gone today. It was crowded yesterday. We waited half an hour just for the Tilt A Whirl I think. It felt like forever for sure. Lines everywhere. The only ride there was no wait was The Himalaya. Waited about 20-25 for Lightening Racers.

They must've been expecting it because they were running a promotion earlier where everyone pays kids price for Sundays. $28 each. When I saw that promotion and that the weather would be good, I was like, "Yup, let's go."

We've been on all but Great Bear, Stormrunner, and Sidewinder coaster-wise so far. Waiting for Laff Track.

Except Trailblazer. Not doing that one. It's lame.

I'd have to think about going on that--too steep, I think. Have you been on it before?
Yup. I've been on all of the roller coasters here multiple times. I was also here during the summer.

That one is Fahrenheit. Straight up, straight down. Lots of fun.

But not as bad as Skyrush. Nothing here is as bad as Skyrush. 200 foot drop. 75 mph. And some of the cars actually hang over the side of the track.

I love coasters, but I'm not sure if I'd enjoy Fahrenheit. Skyrush does not sound fun either. Thrills are fine with me, but terrifying thrills--nope, I'm out.

I'm with you. EE is as exciting a coaster as I will go on. I saw those rides yesterday, and did not even venture a thought as to go on them. Maybe 20 years ago, not now though. No more thrill seeking for me.;) My biggest thrill right now will be driving through Baltimore and hoping to get out safe. Just found out that DD6 has a cheer competition scheduled in a College in the lovely heart of Baltimore. Maybe @StarWarsGirl knows it? At Coppin State University. I asked the coach to find a different competition in a safer area. Don't think it will matter though. They are looking for qualifiers for a final competition in VA Beach.

Honestly, you'll be fine. Coppin is in the northern part of the city, also where Hopkins is. We drive through that general vicinity with no issue. I have an aunt and uncle that live in that area and work at Hopkins. No issue.

You'll be on 83 most of the way and then get on route 50, and you'll be there. Easy peezy. The area north is Baltimore County, which is definitely safe, with the exception of some lousy drivers. I went to a college in Baltimore County, and it's actually one of the safest schools in the country. While we wouldn't want to live in Baltimore City, we routinely are down there with no issue.

As far as being on campus, it's a college campus. There will be security. Mostly Baltimore police since Coppin is public. If you don't feel safe for whatever reason, just ask for an escort.

My only suggestion would be to avoid 695. 695 is just plain terrible. Not safety wise, but the traffic is a nuisance. Take 83 as much as possible if you can at all help it. 83 is pretty good traffic-wise. Safety wise would be to avoid gas stations within city limits. Not sure which direction you would go, but if you're taking 83 and need to stop someplace in Maryland, Hunt Valley is best. Towson in a pinch, but Hunt Valley is REALLY safe. And lots of food places. If you're coming from I-70, Columbia is best.

Appreciate this reply! You calmed my fears. The coach is kind of ticked at me for bringing it up though. Should have asked you first. ;)

Baltimore has a bad rap, and not that it's undeserved, but it's concentrated in areas you would neither need to go to nor want to go to. Use common sense and you'll be fine.

Besides, Coppin isn't really in the deep part of the city. It's just within city limits. But only barely. :)

I'm an adrenaline junky. Considering my 51 year old mother gets on all of these, I can't see that ever changing. I ride Hershey's tower, and I'm a nut. I don't hold on. :p

I like Skyrush, but once is good. Or once at the beginning of the day and once at the end. Whereas I'll do Great Bear, which isn't as intense, multiple times.

Fyi, if you haven't done Great Bear...if you do Everest and RnRC, you should be fine on that. It only hits 58 and the drop is comparable to Everest. And it's also super smooth.

Super smooth is good. Wildcat bounces my head around too much, which is the only reason I have a problem with it. We may be going back for Candy Lane. Tickets are only $18 if you purchase by Nov 11.
