So glad it all worked out for you. Eye stuff is definitely scary.
I've had 2 corneal scratches/dry eye issues. The first time, I didn't even know what it was, but, my eye woudn't stop tearing up or hurting. I was in constant pain and tears. I went to my GP, and he told me to take it easy and it would go away. WRONG!!!!!!!
I then went to an Opthomologist that he recommended, and she examined me. She gave me the proper meds and treatment, with cream and an eye patch (arrrgghhh

), and told me to stay home for 2 days and pretend I was blind (could only watch TV because your eyes don't move back and forth so much - they were focused in one place).
I followed those orders to the letter. Then, the morning I was instructed to take my patch off in the shower, I did so...
To my horror, there was nothing but blur. I had a full-on panic attack. I, of course, called the doc, and was assured that blurry would go away in about a week. It would have been helpful to have had that info initially, but, it did go away in less than a week and my vision is still pretty much perfect.
As I've posted before, I need drugstore cheaters to see closeup, but, luckily, my far vision is20/20.
The second time was a pain, as well, but, at least I knew the drill.
Life's a HOOT...!!!!!!!
