Last night, I was ready to go to bed when I realized that I hadn't seen Jasmine in a while. So I walked around calling her, got her food bag out, started shaking it...no Jasmine. I checked everywhere for her and finally gave up, hoping she was just being stubborn. Then, this morning, I called her and heard a very faint meow. Last night, my parents had asked me to get something out of my dad's closet, and she followed me in without my realizing it. Poor thing spent the night in the closet. I felt so bad. :(

Poor pumpkin. I hope she wasn't too scared.

Stay safe. My ex-FIL lives in LaPorte. When this all was moving in he and his brother filled their vehicle with everything they could and grabbed their pets then went to family in Indiana to ride it out. I haven't talked to them in quute awhile but my mom's got family in LaPorte, DeerPark, Conroe, Pasadena, Beaumont and Montgomery. I remember many trips to Galveston beach to swim when I was little. My uncle lived by Houston Hobby and you could sit out on the verandah to see the planes coming and going. I feel sad for Houston. :(

Thanks.
And, so sorry I'm so rediculously late in my response.
Harvey definitely double-dipped Houston and so much of southeast Texas, and there's still so much flooding...just nutso, even a week later from initial landfall.
Prayers that all of your family is safe and doing as well as possible down there, and that those family members that wisely evacuated still have their homes intact.
Continued prayers to all.

Yes, yes it does.

Yes, Isn't it amazing, still after all this time, it's amazing how many "adults" here still have no self control to adhere to the rules of the thread/forums...?!?!?!?!?!?! :cyclops:
Certain members here had a whole discussion that had no place on this thread about selfcontrol of children, but, yet they couldn't control themselves. None of them seem to be able to practice what they preach.
For some reason, they chose to carry it out here, instead of a more appropriate place where they could duke it out, and the rest if if us in what's supposed to be be our happy thread would't have to put up with it
Good Lord, what happened to a pretty fun thread...?!?!?
It doesn't hafta' be benign, but, good Lord people, keep your political, and social stuff off of THIS a thread.

Or, if you you still don't get it by now, go get a checkup from the neck up...

You think it will regrow? or whiter and die?

The tree is about 100 years old or so. We've lost 100's and 100's of trees with the mini tornado. Ones like the tree I posted the 2 pictures of the same tree are coming down still. These were big log branches they took off today. The earth shook as the 5 foot sections hit the ground. So now we are at the stage that just the trunks are left. I am interested to see how they remove all these tall, thick trunks.

The town evaluated the trees and put a big white X on the ones that were too dangerous to leave up, fear of a branch breaking off and killing someone. It could have grown back, there was still life but the risk of any one of those branches falling now in a future storm just too big of a risk.

The tree people are separating the good logs. Some of these like I've posted being so wide of a diameter should fetch a pretty penny when they resell them. What is bad goes in the wood chipper, the solid logs are being loaded into log trucks.
