Regular science club in middle school. They are going to make that slime using glue next week. Thanks!
There was a cross country meet here on Thursday so we had a lot of buses going past. I think my dog was a little confused, usually the buses mean I'm not here.
Cool!Is it like a competition club like Science Olympiad or more of a general interest club? Our school has Science Olympiad, our two main high school teachers run it and I'm sure I could help out but there are too many weekend competitions and I don't want to give up my weekends for it.
I saw the ad for the new toys just released, start that Christmas shopping early!@MOXOMUMD , I saw in my local Target ad for this week, that they are promoting something called Force Friday II this coming Friday at 12:01 AM. (A number of stores in the country, including Ohio, are celebrating this.) I guess it's things like giveaways and brand new themed items from clothing to other stuff. If you look up Target and find the local weekly ad on their web site, at the bottom of the first page, you can click on the Force Friday II ad at the bottom for specific details.
I should probably tag @StarWarsGirl on this too, as she might be interested.
Did you get the FRESH LOCAL PRODUCE part in the picture for @figmentfan423?
Hi all!
Thinking Texas for the last few days.
Been a bummer of a week here from health of my DD issues to loss of life due to health insurance restrictions in America. DD bummed with a colleagues death. Went into hospital with a severe case of phenomena and they released her with meds. So she died. 30 years old. Broke her heart and mine too. Wrestling with the @FutureCEO thought process of move elsewhere. 30 years old and dead because of a restrictive insurance plan. This would be my own kid(s). I am so wrestling. I type this with tears in my eyes. How does this happen here.

Well spotted. It is a sign for the end of our property pointing to Mum and Dads hedge veg stall.Did you get the FRESH LOCAL PRODUCE part in the picture for @figmentfan423?
Stay safe. My ex-FIL lives in LaPorte. When this all was moving in he and his brother filled their vehicle with everything they could and grabbed their pets then went to family in Indiana to ride it out. I haven't talked to them in quute awhile but my mom's got family in LaPorte, DeerPark, Conroe, Pasadena, Beaumont and Montgomery. I remember many trips to Galveston beach to swim when I was little. My uncle lived by Houston Hobby and you could sit out on the verandah to see the planes coming and going. I feel sad for Houston.Sorry, haven't yet been back through the thread, just checkin' in.
Made it through the night with no major problems...just a bit windy and a lot of rain. Ground is saturated, but, fortunately, no flooding for us, so far...
Not so much for others. DWifey got a text this morning from her brother that a coworker of his and the coworkers pregnant (due next month) wife were stuck on the roof of their home in Houston awaiting rescue. Haven't heard anything back, yet.
Finally saw some video of Port Aransas. Pretty bad, but, not as bad as I had imagined it might be. We'll definitely be goin' back at some point next summer to give them some of our tourist dollars.
This storm is a crazy b u g g e r though...it looks like it will very likely double-dip the Houston area.
More prayersSorry, haven't yet been back through the thread, just checkin' in.

That sounds like fun. Best of all they're doing it at school not home. I really have to start listening better when the boys talk. James mentioned something about hovering and solar panels. My brain is mush at 10pm, I just hope I didn't agree to finance the projectRegular science club in middle school. They are going to make that slime using glue next week.
Don't worry at all about doing ketchup. The safety of you and yours is far more important, but please check in when you can, we worry. Prayers and pixie dust xoxoSorry, haven't yet been back through the thread, just checkin' in.

Prayers for those who could not leave. After having a friend who's house is now somewhere in the Atlantic after Sandy I wouldn't have to be told twice to leave but I'm not sure everybody had enough time to do so seeing the storm intensified so fast. You have love some mayor of some city or town in Texas. He told people to write their social security numbers on their arms to identify them faster.50 inches of rain possible is crazy.
With a forecast like that, you think they would've called in extra help from the surrounding states before the storm.
