I just can't like this!!! :depressed:

Rant: It's 7:45 AM and I only got up about 30 minutes ago. This is LATE for me. Why did I get up late? Freaking summer, that's why!

Last night the power went out from summer storms, at about 11:45 PM. Woke up because the a/c kicked off--got up around 12:15 AM to report outage to the power company. Couldn't sleep in the heat upstairs here, nor could hubs or Jack (poor dog, he was panting---he hates summer, too).

Power went back on around 1:45 and stayed on for 30 minutes. Then, off AGAIN . . .

Finally, power came on at 3:40 AM and once the a/c kicked in, I finally got some sleep.

Please, bring on WINTER!!!! :inlove:

I...uhmmm...and...but.......never mind..... ;)

My cousins husband was exposed to agent orange in Vietnam. He has had cancer twice, and had to have a colon ostopy
True, but, the problem is he might have had that and never set foot in Vietnam. I have three uncles and two cousins that have died from cancer and were never closer then 10,000 miles from Vietnam. I have a number of things that they monitor one is the Prostate Cancer, which they have linked to Agent O, but, as we all know is a very common thing in older men and also Diabetes and Colon Cancer, again common among people that have never been there. Many sciences are not exact, I think this is one of them. It could be said that dying is linked to living because pretty much everyone that has ever died, once lived. It really depends on what type of spin one wants to put on it.

You left out completely fictional and all set up just to have the "We wants the Redhead" line. Yes, if don't take it seriously and place it out of our time frame, it wouldn't be sexist and degrading, when done as a pirate joke... well, then it is just a joke and we had better start to laugh at ourselves soon or will will all be carted away.

Blah....;) I can understand those who strongly believe that Disney is creating Fictional entertainment-attractions that glorifies s*x trafficking. And yes it is a fictional version of s*x trafficking and holding women against their will by tying them up and selling them off...it is still very relevant and happening today. I still get sick when I think of the women tied up in a basement in Cleveland. So I can appreciate both sides as it is a beloved attraction. Still s*x trafficking has a big *stink* factor to the Disney storyline.

The reason Disney distanced themselves from the Song of the South because it was offensive to many though fiction too. Renamed Dixie Landings resort, fictional story set pre-civil war, cotton mill, plantation.
The sequels to Peter Pan omit the offensive stereo types of pilgrims vs American Indians. Disney has been known to fix politically incorrect or offensive 'fiction' in their parks and films. Remember the 'fictional' American Indians dragging a 'white' woman off into the woods on RoA?

Some fiction (IMO) is just placed into an entertain context of an attraction in a themepark just has that ewe, what were you thinking?

He had his colon oscopy when he was in his early 30's. No one in the family has had anything like that. He was also a Marine, a green beret. He must have experienced a lot of horrible things, as did many in Vietnam.
