My band went to Boston when I was in high school! I had so much fun over there
Of course, there were a lot of set backs and technical difficulties getting there (and getting home, whoo boy), but that didn't detract from the experience.
Thank you! My grandma is physically doing better. She's in a nursing home recovering and doing rehab. I bought a stained glass piece in Alaska for her, and it's hanging up in her room now. However, her eyesight isn't great, so she couldn't see the pictures I took, but she did enjoy all of my stories. I need to download all of the pictures to the computer for her to look at, and probably bring a magnifying glass. Emotionally, Grandma's okay. She doesn't like being in the nursing home. My grandpa, her husband, spent the last 5 years of his life there, and she knows how lonely it can be. There seems to be at least one resident there who is trying to get her to be more active with other people though, so that's a plus.
Another plus- she didn't trip over my dog (which was a huge fear of mine). She fell getting out of bed, but luckily, she had her lifeline necklace on.
I was so exhausted on Saturday, that when I got home, I almost immediately started crying when I was holding my dog. She was a good pupper though and licked away tears. Poor thing has also had a bit of a rough time. She's 14, and is losing a lot of control over her body. My parents thought it would be best to move her downstairs onto a non-carpeted area, so she's had to get used to that, plus not being at my grandma's for 'doggy daycare' for 5 days a week.
One of my friends who works near my house is taking care of her during the day now, so at least she'll have a new routine.
