I had to laugh at this...I forgot we had been having a discussion about paper vs. e books and to me, as a musician, a "real book" is a book of Jazz music and my immediate thought when you said you loved your real books was "Oh! I didn't know he was a jazz musician! I wonder what instrument. How did I miss this conversation?" and then I read further and felt really stupid. Duh!

Hahaaa...!
I have never heard of "real books" before, but, I do play guitar, and once had a private guitar teacher from England teach me some fun jazz guitar chords. One of his guitar inspirations from the past was Django Reinhardt. The guy (Django Reinhardt) had fingers damaged in a fire, but, still persevered, and was one heckuva' musician...! :)

I saw quite a few of those on my way south last summer. I'm sure I saw more due to lower gas prices because I remember them towing smaller cars on the last few trips.

Yea, they are all over I-35 up and down, seemingly always (I can't remember the last time one wasn't) towing regular transportation behind them, but, it was just kinda' funny seeing it stuck in rush hour traffic with the rest of us on that particular road...! :)

I have ordered kids meals at quick service places in the past too, it is no big deal. The cast member doesn't know if you are ordering for yourself or someone else and they probably don't care. The chicken nugget meal is a good deal, it comes with a decent amount of nuggets and fries (if that is your choice) and a cookie or fruit choice. Oh and a little thing of milk, Juice or water. I like the kids size waters as they are easy to put in my purse for carrying around for awhile.

Oh, and we usually get the kids sized Mickey waffle meal for breakfast, it has a two full size Mickey waffles and choice of bacon or sausage (or if you ask nicely one of each) and the kids size drink. It is much cheaper than the adult breakfast and it fills me up.

Kids size waffle meal.

I do the same. Sometimes when we're not real hungry we share a kids meal.

I was an early reader too. But my mom worked with me. I had so many bad ear infections she was afraid I was going to end up deaf so she wanted me to be an excellent reader to help with communication., plus she loved to read and wanted to share that with me. My older sister wasn't/isn't much into books. I remember reading the Sunday comic strips to my dad when I was about 3-4. I wasn't reading full chapter books by kindergarten, I was more into the Bernstein Bears. However, I stayed grade levels ahead throughout school in reading. Math however is a different story.;)
I struggled a lot with reading as a kid. I'm a pretty slow reader and I can't skim. I have to read every word or I can't make sense of it. I LOVE to read now, but I hated it back in school because it took me so long and tired me out. I was great with grammar, but terrible with reading. I'm glad my kids don't have that problem. I was worried they'd inherit that from me.

So I know teachers aren't supposed to have favorite students, but we are human and we do. Anyway, yesterday I went to the graduation party of my favorite student. It was a little sad because I won't be seeing him at school anymore, even though I haven't had him since he was a 9th grader (our building is a joint middle school/high school) I still chatted with him briefly almost every day in the hallways. As a 7th grade he confidently told me that he would be my favorite student, and he wormed his way to that position. He is moving on to a great college and has a bright future ahead of him and my husband and I are pretty friendly with his parents so I know I'll get updates. But his mom made me tear up a little last night, she told me that her son had had some tough times in school (his graduating class is full of some grade A jerks) but that he always loved me and my class! Then she told me that we would have to road trip together to go visit him at college.
I come from a small town and our school was a jr. high/high school combined. I always came back and visited my English teacher/speech coach when I was home from college. I visited even when I moved over here whenever I went back to my hometown. She moved away now, so I can't go back and see here, but she's on my facebook. I wouldn't be surprised to see the student from time to time when he's home. My brother and I would just wait until school was out for the day and went to her classroom.

Awesome! Real books are a specific brand of music book for Jazz. There are "fake books" and I'm not sure why they are called that, but they are books that give you the general chords for jazz pieces and sometimes the text. They are mostly for building repertoire. And of course there are copyrights on the songs, so they can't put in the details...it's just a general outline. I was reading up on it, and the Real Book was called such to set it apart from all the other "fake books". And apparently they were illegally copied originally or something, so they were kept hidden, but now they have permission to use the songs in them.

The one by the ride is San Angel if memory serves me. I have eaten there twice since 1983. The food was fine both times, but the thing that I did find uncomfortable was the spacing of tables and chairs. They have crammed them in as tight as humanly possible leaving almost no room to walk around or even extend ones arm without hitting someone else. Really great atmosphere though. I would still go back, but, I very seldom do table service meals at WDW because of the cost and (oh, heck) the cost.
It was very good when they first opened , now it is not very good. Poor beef, daughter liked the pork.

On our 2013 trip we had an absolutely horrible meal. Food, service and the server brought out something my ds was allergic to even though the item was listed on the sheet and we mentioned it to the server and the chef. Cold food warm beer:hungover: and the attitude from heck when I mentioned the allergy problem. The server asked if I could just remove it:eek::brb::mad::banghead: After the meal I walked straight to guest relations and I have to say the staff there was fantastic and made up for all the problems .
Are people waiting in line for Pandora or what?
To get a fast pass to ride the flight will take until June 20.We got in using a fast pass. The boat ride was much better, when we first saw it, a lot of the lighting wasn't on, and they took the boat through really quickly. Now they have slowed down the ride. It was a really nice ride. Flight is the better of the two, IMHO.

Yesterday, i used my Weber (charcoal) grill for the first time this season. Bought a big cowboy steak at the butcher shop, grilled it up, and hubs and I devoured it. :hungry: Also bought twice cooked potatoes (topped with cheese and bacon bits--the butcher shop makes those) and cooked them up in the oven. :hungry:

No bone for the doggie, though. When we've given him a steak bone in the past, it doubled as a toy and also something for him to chew on. He likes to run around with it in his mouth, and then chucks it on the hardwood floor -- outside our bedroom -- at like, 2:00 AM . . . No more bones for the dog! (We give him a little piece of the steak, instead, in his food bowl.)
You are a very mean mommy! Jack should get his own steak for being such a good doggie:joyfull:

I read that one too, and then reread it at least 3 times.:) :geek:What a great book full of really cool information!

Yep, I read it thoroughly, too. I reread it as I was reading it the first time. :hilarious: Sooo many details. :cyclops: Dianne Disney Miller disputed some things in that book, although I've never been able (through reasearch) to find out exactly what.
It is such a long book. Most of the reviews I've heard have been pretty good. It was very detailed, though. Probably not for most casual Disney fans, indeed. :cyclops:
