Hubby was worried we would get grounded. I'm glad we didn't get stuck somewhere, I didn't have a good sub plan for yesterday!

So glad you didn't get stuck or diverted somewhere else. Long night for you guys though.

At our intermediate level building there is a psycho principal IMO ;) Every professional must 'turn in' their lesson plans 2 weeks in advance along with a mirrored adjusted sub plan to the principal for her to sign off on. (she often will scribble in and alter them for her teachers too.)

Me too, which is why I will have to wait until I actually go to Pandora to see it. Disney just should have had a complete special with Joe Rohde doing the tour.

Favorite ride is BTMM. Favorite nostalgic ride is COP. The "makes me feel warm inside" ride would be the ferry boat to MK and watching the castle come into full view.
Our nice warm weather will be going away for the weekend also. They have 60 for Thursday, but 31 for Saturday and possible snow on Sunday.:(

They used Joe way to much as a front man, making excuses. A waste of his talent. Did you see they tomorrow morning have 3 different shows on ABC talking up Avatarland. Good Morning America on the main attraction. The VIEW on the boat ride thing and CHEW talking about one of the food options in the new land. With Avatar being so long ago already and many not being sold on Avatar ever as an expansion land over Beastly Kingdom and 6 years from announcement to finish I guess Disney needs to be their own best cheerleaders and sadly that means pushing Joe out in front of a camera to be one of the cheerleaders. o_O

First day at my new job was today. A lot of training. My supervisor gave me an overview of everything first. She's a really sweet, soft spoken manager. I think she's about my dad's age. After she threw a bunch of information at me (and I showed her how to add people to favorites on Skype for Business) we took a break, and I got my desk set up the way I like it. I thought being new to the workplace that I would have no preferences about my desk setup. Turns out I'm rather picky about where the phone is. Then I had two other trainings on Microsoft office programs. I already knew most of what the training talked about, but it was still helpful. And then the person who was in the position before me (who got promoted) gave me another overview. So basically, I walked around the building in heels a good bit for the tours, and then around again trying to remember where everything was. Tomorrow I'm wearing flats. There's casual Friday at the office. I'm not sure anyone is looking forward to it more than me.

I was expecting I would be in a cubicle, but all of the midlevel managers on my floor have their own offices, so instead, I have a nice big desk right outside their offices and a computer with a two monitor setup.

Overall, it's so much better than my old job. Although I'm falling asleep already.

So very glad to hear the first day went well!!! :)
We pretty much actually have casual "everyday "...I can't remember the last time I wore anything but jeans to work. And, on Fridays, I usually wear tennis shoes and a very tropical shirt, untucked.
When the firm had to lay me off back in '09, we all had only one monitor, now we all have 2. Comes in so handy. I can have a CAD file open for reference as I'm building a 3D model on the other monitor. Or, am able to monitor my emails closely, have this site up (they don't mind us taking short "sanity" breaks, here and there ;)), etc.

Anyway, again, glad to hear the first day went well, and the best of luck with it going forward...!!! :)

Yes, MGM/DHS has always been lagging behind the other Parks in the eatery dept., but, Starring Rolls was definitely a standout little gem. Why Disney would choose to close it just makes no sense to me, unless they think they have/do have something better up their sleeve.
Maybe by the time time all of the Park additions and changes are complete we'll be pleasantly surprised with improved eatery choices..!!! :)
Or, not... :cyclops:

We are likely in different places you being from a warm place...I just wish both AK and the Studios had more indoor choices for those warmer months. I do love the food at Flame but eating hot food outside in 95 degree heat wasn't fun.
Well feeding the birds was fun.....;) It is AK afterall.

So happy for you. Congratulations. Good luck with the start of your career.

After growing up being force fed camping by my father, my current idea of camping is a Ramada Inn without room service.

We did quite a bit when I was pretty young, but, then mom and pop bought something like this...

The truck looks pretty much exactly like this, and pop still has it, and the camper was very similar, although long gone, now.

When I was in my late teens and early twenties, I started doing a lot of backpacking and tent camping trips again. Some of the best times of my young life...!!!
I am so comfortable in the outdoors.
There were also several times when we just took sleeping bags and a pillow and slept out in the pasture on warm summer nights at my grandparents farms. The stars and the Milky Way are beyond amazing away from all the city/suburb light clutter.
Really need to try to do a coupla' local weekend trips again in the next few years...if I can talk DWifey into it... ;)
