No she still bursts into tears when you talk about new schools most of the time. We've still got more than a year, though. I did have a meeting with her teacher today though and her teacher thinks she can do VWO (the highest level of high school) but that we need to pay close attention to her anxiety. She said DD expects way too much of herself, which we already know, and that because everything has always been so easy for her, she might have problems when she gets into high school because it will be harder and she won't always be able to get 100% in every subject, so she needs to get used to that disappointment and learn how to deal with it now, before she gets into high school. We need to encourage her to do things that are harder for her so she can experience that challenge and know she'll be ok if she doesn't get a 100%. Right now, if she comes across something that's not easy for her, she completely shuts down, and that's not healthy.
I went through that. I always worked to get all A's. The highest score for any given subject. When I got into college I got my first D, a very bad score.....but so did 99% of our class. After that I went with the flow, the professor was a Noble Prize Winner for Chemistry. He didn't know how to teach, at our level. It was a mess all around!

OK, finally an answer...
This doc, after reviewing my imaging, and the accompanying notes, said he has no clue how the others weren't able to figure this out. :cyclops:
It's essentially the same thing I had to have surgery for the the next morning after visiting the ER with swelling, fever, and pain back in June of '13 (@Gabe1 probably remembers).
The difference being the first was in deep tissue and this one is not, so it is able to drain (for now) without a full-blown infection setting in.
Since I still have an occasional problem with the first area, he also (without actually saying so) alluded to the fact that the other surgery should have been done in a way that would have completely taken care of it the first time.
Anyhoo, this doc today referred me to another specialist (he was just the general surgeon on call in the ER that could not see me that day because he was doing emergency surgery) that he says will take care of it all once and for all. Her office is supposed to call me tomorrow or Monday.
Good grief, I can't wait for this to finally be completely resolved. :bored:
So, there's the update, and here's hoping...! :)
Oh, my you shouldn't have had to go through this. Dr.'s inability to diagnose knows no bounds. I hope you have a quick recovery, and not too painful . I'm still praying for you.

A major interstate north of us is closed from a massive multi-vehicle accident (more than 50) and lots of people are stranded because they can't turn around or cross the median. Winter s*cks.
I'm going shopping early tomorrow before the stores get crazy. I was planning on early Saturday but between holiday and storm shoppers no way! I just hope my dh isn't on the list to go in on Sunday night if it looks like it's going to be really bad. He shouldn't be but one of the people who is on the list is away on vacation

Mr Ferret 75

Thank you sir. You were an inspiration.
It's easy, just use the Goofyernmost method. (not really unsimilar to the catch up with posts method of just marking the as read) First you go to the store and buy a dry package of French Onion Soup Mix. Next you take one large onion, cut off the ends, slice it in half (across the grain) (and then several times with the grain depending on how wide you want your onion strips) pull it apart and saute slowly until the onions have caramelized. In the mean time you follow the recipe on the box of Soup Mix and get it cooking. Once the soup has reached a simmer, put in the caramelized onions and let it simmer for 15 or so minutes. Then ladle into individual soup crocks, place, preferably slightly dry, bread on and cover that with mozzarella or the equivalent favorite meltable cheese (provolone or whatever), put under the broiler for a couple of minutes or until the cheese starts to bubble, and there it is. Usually less then a half hour only a few steps, no measuring just nicely seasoned French Onion Soup. Not, of course, you gourmet labeled type, but, quite good and settles the craving for a bit.

I can't take even talking about those kind of temps.! :cold:
Or take the Mr Ferret route
1. Take a can of french onion soop
2. Empty into bowl.
3. Nuke that sucker.
4. Eat
5. Get someone else to do the dishes ;)

Our stores were stripped bare, before the last snow. How many loaves of bread do you need? ;)
