My ex is being whiny about flying through Atlanta to MCO. Granted, I'm not a fan either, but other routes are $200 more a person and the one other flight is Akron to Baltimore to Orlando. Almost 8 hours to get there. Ummm, no. Hello Atlanta.

Good grief. If he doesn't want to "suffer" a layover, tell 'im he can pay the difference for a direct flight. Is that really too much to ask of this guy...?!
We had a layover in Atlanta on our Princess 5K trip back in Feb. It was only about 1.5 hrs., and we just had fun piddlin' 'round the airport for a little bit. No big deal, and it cost us a helluva' lot less...! :)

Yep, didn't bother me at all. See my previous post about our local bat colony.
It was just weird to find it laying on my office floor. :cyclops: ;)

Me, not such a fan. Yes they eat bugs but those little boogers in our area are 'protected' and yet they carry rabies in our area. My DD has had 2 encounters with bats in the last 5 years. One on her dorm floor hallway and they were confined to their rooms until they could figure out what to do legally with the dude. (and the bathrooms were off the hallway) 2nd in her vestibule of her apartment at least she could use a bathroom for that little bat. :cautious:

Chicago airports are known for their timely issues. So is Atlanta, where they send us as a connection to MCO. I gave up over the years. We wound up giving up too many hours and a couple time a day over missed connections or getting stuck in Atlanta. Just not worth the aggravation or missed ADRs and park time. We fly now direct only to MCO though we still experience delays especially leaving MCO.
We have gone to leaving out of Midway because SW offers very competitive airfares direct, about the same price as a connecting flight to MCO from Ohare but it is a longer haul by taxi.

Proud wuss here! 50ish and raining:cold::coldfeet::bawling::arghh::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry: Olaf fleece jammies were worn last night and several layers of fleece are going to be on me when I head out, a nice warm(what you'd call scalding hot) bath when I get back with a relaxation Basin bath bomb just to try and warm up. Have I ever mentioned how much I love summer?:D

Amen Sister Friend.

Me either, I love rescue dogs, that's all we have ever had.

Out of the 10 pups we've (DWifey and myself) had over the last 27 years, all but 2 we're pound puppies. Tucker and Abby were registered AKC black lab pups that I bought DWifey for one of her b-days.
We've had Patrick, PJ, Molly, Pepper, Abby, Tucker, Beau, Indy, Belle, and Ranger...
I guess you could say we're a bit of a pup family...! ;)

Wow that is a lot of Pup love. In more years than that we had Holiday, Tuffy, Cinnamon, Jethro Bodine and Walt. Holiday had the shortest life span, my springer that only lived 4 months.

Sympathy like.
You know my biggest heartache was the way Indy went. He was the coolest pup. I still get teary-eyed over losing him...

Yep, a lot indeed.
But, we've also had as many as 3 pups at the same time.
We just love our pups...! :)
