My dad is flying home tonight. My grandfather's funeral is tomorrow. We are going to watch a live stream of it here. My dad will rejoin us Friday morning. If he thought my stepgrandmother needed more help, he would have stayed longer, but since my dad's younger half brother is there with his wife, my dad doesn't feel too bad about coming back. Timing stinks; I wish we could all be there. If it had happened while we were at home, getting time off from work/school would not have been an issue. But at least my aunt will be there; she normally would not be able to come.

The sandwich is my standard order. Nice break from the typical fast food. It's probably one of the best sandwiches on property. They also have really good soups at season. Including a halfway decent MD crab soup. Not as good as what you get in MD, but still very good. Although they wanted to add cheese to the top. Cheese does not go in crab soup.

Also, not sure your ds is aware, but they still have some Helly Hansen products in Norway. Not nearly as many as before, but they are there.

Helly is a dangerous product for my son, does so much damaged to his credit/debit cards. ;)

I also forwarded him the description and your photo of Season's sandwich. Thanks.

You are right. Hubby has safety concern issues. His dad drove a cab for a couple years, and they had to have training, and a physical. We do the free Disney bus, too. I love getting on the Disney bus. I know I'm on vacation.
Same requirement for those much aliened bus drivers. CDL's require training, testing and physicals. (usually yearly)

We don't have any non-furry children so the dogs (now only one) is my baby. We have always gotten them Christmas and birthday presents. I did this when I was a kids too, giving the dogs presents. Now our dog has a stocking that gets filled by Santa. We still hang up the stockings of the dogs (Henry & Gus ) that passed a couple years ago as they are still in our hearts just like any family member.

Maybe you could fly home with your Dad and Mom stay with your brother?

I love my sister with all my heart, but she takes forever in the bathroom. Gah!!!!! I am finally going to be able to get in there and take a shower. I did eat breakfast first though.
Luckily we have two bathrooms, we need that at our age....I won't explain....I get ready for the day while hubby gets ready for the day. He has the bigger bathroom, and I have more stuff. ;)

Mom loves the kitchen a lot too. During the weekends when she is not working she spends a lot of time in there.
I record and watch them later. Hubby and I sleep in on the week-ends. That's how we know it's the week-end. All the days would run together, if we didn't have this schedule. It works too, as we usually spend time with the kids and grandkids, and tend to go to bed much later. We are a game loving family. We go out sometimes, and then go back to the kids house for games. Then the boy's can go to bed, or up to their rooms, if they tire of games. Works for everyone. Driving home at night is getting a little harder for hubby. We always see someone driving erratically on the drive home. Weaving and such, or sometimes a drag race. We pull off on a side street and come back on the main road. We don't want to get in an accident.

My retirement goal is to retire to a big city with an excellent transportation system. I don't drive tons now because I live so close to where I work but I have to drive about 15-20 minutes to do any shopping and for decent clothes I have to drive almost and hour.

I love this. Since we didn't know Freddie's birthday, we made it Valentine's Day, cause we loved him so much, wiggles another shelter dog, had the same birthday. They got birthday presents on that day too.

Don't feel bad. The person has already passed. We haven't been able to go to some of our funerals, of family member's. Hubby had deadlines at work, with his dedication we missed some. I feel they knew we were there in spirit, if not in body. You haven't done anything you should feel bad about.

Geez it got hot this afternoon. It only says it is 90 degrees but it feels like it is 100 degrees outside. The air is very thick.
I started to walk to the grocery, with all the smoke I had to come back home. We both have asthma. We ended up going in the car. It's only a half mile away. I hate to use the car for short trips.
