On a less depressing note, we are in AK. The nightime safari was neat, but don't plan on taking photos. If you don't see well at night, you might want to see it during the day. There were also several delays because of animals crossing the path.

EE is extremely dark at night. Darker than even Space Mountain. Like, pitch black.

Seeing Jungle Book tonight. Will review later.

Yes, my dad's stepfather passed a little over a month ago. It's been rough. And there's other drama that's been going on, on that side of the family, so it's just rough.
@StarWarsGirl you definitely need and deserve a big gigantic hug.

It sounds like you had a better experience on the safari that we did, ours was basically without any animals. I'll be interested in hearing what you have to say about the Jungle Book show. My sister just saw it and loved it, as for me I had a lot of issues with it.

My night vision is really good, so that may have something to do with it too. We saw a good bit, and the male lion was super active. We even heard him vocalizing. There were also elephants, so I was happy.

@Cesar R M with the news of StarWarsgirl's grandpa that got me thinking about your grandmother. How is she doing? Is she still trying to do the things she shouldn't be doing?
yes, she had a spat with my mother because she refused to wear something she needs to wear. She still doesnt understand. But she is still very smart in making excuses x_x

USA Today reports that the restraints are velcro. That sounds very safe. Not. They also reported that the ride has an age requirement of 14, so someone that young should not have been on the ride. The kid was also the son of a Kansas state Representative.

Seems the slide may never reopen. Future of that waterpark might also be in question.

On the news tonight they said there was a height requirement but not an age. A woman who rode the slide many times in the morning was interviewed stated the harness was not working all morning on the front seat. The Park said they were unaware of that.
