This reminds me of a story I think I've shared before.
There were two guys in my PE class my sophomore year of HS that hated each other vehemently. They were always at each others throats and disrupting activities. Finally, the teacher, who was also a football coach, had had enough when they started up again as we were all dressing out one day. Once he got things under control, he went and grabbed two pairs of boxing gloves from the equipment cage. He was pi$$ed. He told the whole class to follow him. We did. He marched us all out wayyy to the back of school property behind the baseball field, gave each one of 'em a pair of boxing gloves, and told 'em if they didn't go at it and settle this right now he was gonna' kick both their a$$es. NO JOKE.
They saw how pi$$ed he was. They went at it. They were pretty evenly matched and he knew it. He let them kick the carp outta' each other until he felt they had had enough. They were bleeding and pretty wiped out.
The rub is, these two guys finally got it outta' their systems and then actually became good friends.
None of us ever said a word about it outside of class, and the gloves never again (that semester anyway) had to be brought out for that purpose.
Can ya' just imagine if a teacher/coach pulled somethin' like that these days...
world leaders would stop trying to wipe others countries with other's lives for sure.
Id love to see them wiping each other and leave the normal people in peace.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
We go in January when the parks do the same thing and still go to the parks in the evening. We are night owls; we are out as late as possible. We also don't do a ton of resort dining other than breakfast. Most evenings, we are in Epcot, and that always closes at 9.

As for the complaining, if you don't get in line and buses just keep filling up, that's one thing. But if a bus just plain doesn't come for an hour, we say something.
Generally, we eat at 8:30. Not much open when we roll out at 10:00.
As to the one hour bus wait - we had just missed the MK bus; had to wait 20 minutes for the next one.

Being the third stop in a huge resort (Coronado Springs), the bus was more than half full when it got to us; then they loaded up two ECV's, a dozen family members, and presto-changeo, no room for JenniferS and Hubby.

20 minutes later, another bus comes ... we've already waited 40+ mins and haven't even made it to the front gate yet. The front gate of the resort, that is.

I'll stick to the rental car, thanks.
On the plus side, that means more room on the buses for everyone else. :p

Good story. Love it! Yep it be a lawsuit. Staff fired pretty darn sure these days.

Most of this I see why it is appealed. Majority of us didn't make many friends not rubber stamping the winter break write up spree. Still there were a few that had it coming. I have little tolerance for bullying and neither does our district. If it wasn't so mean it would be comical how a few think they are so smart they can trick adults who have seen it too many times. Join the cool kids group but on the fringe not really one of them so they try to act like them to impress them to win their acceptance. But when busted it is sweetness and nice and playing up to the non cool friends to come to their rescue. Plays out about the same way most of the time with the wanna be social climbers. Now the leper neither side really will trust and staff will be wary of. Can't have it both ways is a lesson that is so hard to learn this way. I felt for the parents, totally blindsided. Kids be best off now in a fresh school district hopefully with lessons learned. Some handle this better than I do, I dread this type of duty. I have always been about student services for improving education. So the less of this the better. Come on vitamin D we need some sunshine!

Ha! Would you believe I don't know who that is? Likely if his given name was posted or nick name I wouldn't know that either. Names rarely stick at best I tend to recognize the name but don't know what team it belongs to or never heard of them. Till a few weeks ago I could tell you who the 2nd and 3rd string quarterbacks are of our team and still can't pull it from memory but I'd likely recognize it now. Now the ones that get into big trouble, step on someones knee, knock a woman around because of over the top media being non stop those stick. Always been bad with names of people I don't know.

Lyle Sendlein. UT football (handegg ;)) alum.

It was awesome. The weather was windy but warm. Stayed an extra night just because we could. :) We made much use of the hot tub and pool. Gotta love hotels that have a free hot breakfast too. I didn't think to take pics to share though. Tomorrow is the first day back to school after Christmas break and of course the weather is extra carppy.

That is great you had a bonus day! *happy dance* I could use a hot tub. I'm chilly even with blankets/quilt. When I'd go down where my son went to school we stayed at a Hampton Inn with free breakfast. In the way back time machine decades ago when we stayed offsite WDW we got free breakfasts. Helped the travel budgets and made us pretty loyal customers. Then came the moderate resorts.

So, one kid starts work early tomorrow at 5:30. Has to be up at 4:30.
One kid starts at regular time, 7:30. Has to be up at 6:30.
Son #1 starts school at 10:20. With these bitter cold temps, he too, needs a ride.

There is absolutely no way to split this task evenly with Hubby. *sigh*
Once Mike is up, he's up to stay; so to be fair, I'll take the first two runs.
At least I can fall right back to sleep. Hopefully.

There have been drivers who should be comedians. There was one bus driver last trip who was doing impressions the entire way through. She did Mickey, Donald, Roz, Stitch...it was hysterical.

Two trips I was down for my Birthday. One bus driver caught my button cause he knew my name. He announced it was my Birthday and the bus sang to me. Kid thought it was hysterical. That was the end of the button. It did have its perks though and I appreciated the pass HB wishes from passing CMs too. I always took it off in restaurants though, didn't think of a bus, I never saw that happen before.

Yeah, anything later than 7:30 is rare for us. With an 8:30 reservation, by the time you get seated, deal with the allergies for me, and order, your food gets to you at around 9 pm. That's just too late for our taste, unless we're doing Chefs de France, Rose and Crown, or someplace else in World Showcase where we can see fireworks from our table. Plus, we go back and do the pool/hot tub many times at night.

As far as the bus goes...wow. Never had that experience, and Boardwalk is the third stop on the MK line, and for some routes, the fifth stop. But like I said, we can walk to one or two parks from our home resorts, and for MK, most of the time, it's simpler to take the bus anyway, though having the car is convenient for AK, DTD, and the waterparks. But not worth $200.

Yup, me too. Or, if it has to get icy, it can get icy so that campus doesn't open until 11 am, that way I only have to go to two campuses.

Even more commuting, since I'm taking ice skating on Mondays and Wednesdays, I have to commute over to the rink and back to school. But that's only for 8 weeks. I'm already used to driving; it's a 35 minute commute from the main campus home. At least the building where I'm taking my Spanish course is close to the parking garage so I don't have to hike across that campus (and I applied and toured there; it's a hike normally), though I'm used to being about 30 feet from the building.

That little nagging voice in my head just kept saying, "Do not take finance at 8 in the morning...do not take finance at 8 in the morning..." And not just because I want more sleep. How well am I actually going to do at a finance course at 8 am? I'll take it another semester

I did better with later classes. My DD is a morning person. My DS is like me, so not a morning person.

I enjoyed my graduation button in DL. A few free desserts was well worth it.

Except for that CM who wanted to know if I was graduating from middle school. My face:

You sound like my mom. She gets up with my brother at 6 am. Then she waits for my dad to leave and goes back to bed, where she remains until 10 or 11 am.

Once my dad is up, he's up.

Sounds like you've solved the time dilemma quite nicely. :) Now, if only you can keep away from those dastardly "group" projects in your classes, you'll be ecstatic this semester! ;) :joyfull:
Alas, the nature of the world of business majors is "group projects". But maybe, just maybe I can hold out some hope...

I already know one of the professors I have this semester is a huge fan of them, so no avoiding it seems...

Once you have babies, you'll understand.
Women are genetically programmed to be able to get back to sleep.
Historically, it wasn't necessary for men to get up two, three, four times for night-time feedings.
