For the benefit of @JenniferS, I had one of my favorite youth sandwiches today. It was a Peanut Butter and Strawberry Preserve Sandwich with a thick, juicy slice of Fresh, Local, Red Ripe, Tomato. Sounds a little strange, but, the Strawberry's enhance the sweetness of the Tomato and is wonderful. I'm sure this will tempt Jennifer to go for one. BTW, my second favorite youth sandwich is a Fluffernutter. Peanut Butter seems to be the common theme here.

I LOVE Fluffernutters!!! Haven't had one for months now. I'll have to rectify that situation this weekend. :hungry:

I forgot to post this earlier....at the school I teach at the 7th graders have a probability unit in their math class and they have to develop games of chance for a carnival. One team developed a ball toss game and the balls had to be tossed through Mike Wasowzski's mouth. They did a good job with it and I was proud they picked a Disney character. If I was their math teacher it would have been an easy A. The Mike figure is below.

I'm with DWifey! I'd be headed in the other direction. But then, I was stupid when I was about 9 and touched a copperhead that I thought was dead....it wasn't. We had pulled the car up and parked and I opened my door and there was a snake. So my mom moved the car but the snake didn't budge. I thought it must be dead, and I wanted to see what it felt like, so I went up and touched it and it rattled. I backed away and my mom ran to the shed and grabbed a shovel and cut its head off. Boy did I get a lecture and I've certainly never had a desire to go near one, ever again.

Oh my. Glad you didn't get bit.
But, if it rattled, it was probably a rattlesnake and not a copperhead. Copperheads don't have rattles.
Years ago, DWifey and myself knew some folks that had a child outside that got bit on the face by a rattlesnake. By the time they figured out what had happened, he was in dire need of medical attention. Fortunately, he survived, but, the poor kiddos face looked like h**l for a few years. Yes, a few YEARS.

I woke up to go to the bathroom Saturday night (without my brace) and heard a "pop" when I was shuffling to the door. It didn't hurt at the time but now I need an MRI. It stinks getting old. :D
Ouch.

Well, if it makes you feel better...remember my thumb injury? It was because I twisted my thumb while reaching into my purse. And I had hand surgery. Which actually that ligament has been damaged for years and likely got missed by the hand doctor I went to before the one who caught it. Evidenced by the fact that I can now play violin again post-surgery after not being able to play since freshman year of high school. But still reaching into my purse was a very stupid way to tear a ligament. And this was at the old age of 20. So...you're not alone in having stupid injuries.

I hafta' say, I have never heard of this place before today, but, it's one of the most intriguing things I've seen, IMO. An almost completed nuclear power plant converted into an amusement park...!!!!!!! :joyfull:
Although, you know if it was a Disney Park that cooling tower would've been Imagineered into "Nuclear Mountain"...!!! :hilarious: ;)

Oh brother . . . can't people enjoy a picnic anymore?!

Nope. Banned.

It actually started with a parent claiming it was unfair for her DD to have to watch other kids eat ice cream and she could not. Out went the ice cream truck. Then a family with religious thoughts on the topic of hot dogs. There were alternative foods made available to fit their diet requirements but that made them 'different.'

We have an ice cream truck that comes to my college and provides us with free ice cream. The truck also has snowballs. Never heard anyone complain about it other than that the line can be horribly long.
