They do band, grandson plays in that, and sings in choir, and is really good in art. My only question, why does one kid out of two, seem to get all the talent? Oldest hasn't "found" his thing yet. He is a whiz at math, currently taking high school math. I would guess his "talent" will take him far in research or space. He seems interested in both.
Sounds like maybe his talent is Math. My son is like that...he loves soccer, but he's not particularly good at it. He loves sports, but he's got poor motor skills. He can't sing, I'm sad to say. But that kid could add numbers into the thousands in his head already when he was 6. Sometimes it was kind of scary when he would just pop out with sum huge sum....like we were playing monopoly and we were done and he counted his money, I counted mine, and then he said "I have ...... and you have ....... I win, because I have ..... more than you", while I was still trying to add it in my OWN head...and he was right. Very disconcerting. This is why he's in the double plus group in Math at school. So I'm confident that's his talent and I wonder if he'll grow up to be an engineer like daddy, or maybe an accountant, or a scientist, or a math teacher....who knows. DD is smart and she and one of her best friends get the best grades in their grade, but she can also sing and act, though the girl has ZERO coordination and hates anything sport related. I'm sure you're DGS will find his talent, if he hasn't already...sometimes we find it but don't realize it for a while. I loved to sing and loved music from the time I was born...but I didn't really discover it was my "talent" until high school. It was always just my favorite thing to do.

Grandson is like your son, he was crazy for math from the time he was two. He would line up his little cars and count to 10. He understands the "new" math. I can't make heads or tails out of that. He is currently taking advanced algebra doing calculus next year. He is good at school, in most subjects, but really a whiz in math. You are right , he has a real talent there.

Drinks on me tonight. I didn't say anything because I thought there was enough to worry about with kidney stones and bladder infections and everything else, but I found a lump in my breast Friday and I had a mammogram and an ultrasound today and all is clear. It was a swollen duct, but it's all normal, healthy tissue. So I'm celebrating.
I'm glad you are good to go, sorry you had the stress of wondering what was going on.
