@donaldtoo I hope you got a good night's sleep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did you dream of bacon and beer?

Thanks, Figgy! I did indeed sleep a little better last night...! :)

As always, of course...! :D
But, then I woke up to the "nightmare" fact that, if this is gout (I've never been officially diagnosed, but, it fits every symptom description I have found), l'm gonna' hafta' cut back quite a bit on both, and other things... :arghh:  :arghh:
As much as I love my beer and bacon, I figure I much prefer bein' ambulatory for as much of the rest of my life as possible...! ;)

I definitely had the same thought. Even if I give him the benefit of the doubt that he's truly concerned, that doesn't give him the right to try to control what she talks about in therapy. And there's no therapist in the world who would say that she shouldn't talk about the divorce!
I agree, everyone one needs a outlet once in a while. She must be being pulled in both directions.

I'm a lover of all things Tomato minus sun dried tomatoes and tomato juice. Still there is something about a well made Bloody Mary that immediately makes you forget it has tomato juice in it. At Disney, a consenting adult, a person of your age, not a real issue. When my son was in college in Wisconsin initially at 18 he could order a drink with us at a bar or restaurant.

Me, I was never a fan of the age being raised up to 21. Illinois was 19 for beer and wine and Wisconsin was 18 till the Feds stepped in. When we vacationed in Mexico I never had any issues at 14 in a resort ordering a Margarita. It actually made the family vacation at that age more tolerable lol. The only time I had an issue in Mexico, my Mom, her friend, her two 16 year old twin DDs and me 16, going into a night club with our Moms. They said no. They had great music and it was a fun spot at night right next to our hotel. So we left, our Moms went in. 20 minutes later the 3 16 years olds went in together. No issue.

We were always served wine as small kids at Sunday dinner at my Grans. The kids got these tiny little cordial glasses. My belief is because it wasn't forbidden, that 21 right of passage, it generally lacked the curiosity and appeal that it does today to many college students. I remember my son being so curious about beer when I was stocking the bar for his birthday party when he was around 10. I opened one let him taste it, wasn't amused he spit it out so quickly all over me. Curiosity Cured for a long long time. He was such a finicky eater my gut told me he would hate it. Just didn't think I'd be wearing it.
Great advice, and funny story about your son.:D

Good morning! I'm all prepared for the worst. The map still shows us close to the northern edge of the worst. It could still go either way for us:banghead::banghead::banghead: I'm hoping for 4-6 inches of carp. Just enough for my boys to make money and not enough to screw things up too badly.
I will be checking out the weather channel today, and hope for the best for you.

I'm glad she is handling it okay, it might be helpful to try therapy. I think most judges would agree it would be beneficial for a child to be able to talk to someone freely and not stress her out. And if she doesn't like it or respond well to it, the therapy can always end. Although that is my two cents.
Your reply is worth way more than 2 cents.:)

My husband called me once and started with "Don't freak out" which of course made me instantly freak out. He had been driving to work on the interstate and a semi went to change lanes and didn't see him. Fortunately the semi was right along side, so he ended up just pushing hubby's car sideways and it only did a bit of damage to the driver's side back door, but no one was injured. So he calls me and says "Don't freak out. I was in an accident, but I'm fine." I told him next time to please lead with "I'm fine." DS was 6 I think, and since his door needed to be replaced, he asked if he could have a blue one (our car is red) and hubby said that might not look very nice...so he said red was ok, but could it maybe have blue flames on it. rofl
I love your son's story. A good laugh for me today! Thanks.

Sympathy like. Are you alright? Have you been to the doctor now? What did he/she say? I had that during my pregnancy, though it was in my hip/pelvis. My second was worse than my first...I was wheelchair bound for about 3-4 weeks when it got so bad that I had to crawl to the bathroom because I couldn't put weight on my right hip it hurt so bad. I'm betting yours isn't pregnancy related, so hopefully the doctor can do something for you!!!
and what it was on the end? a pinched nerve? blood cloths?

I'm fine kerosene heater, grill, camp stove, fridge filled with pre cooked food. Lots of fleece jammies! The big freezer is in the unheated garage if we need to move stuff. I made it through Sandy for a week with no power as I have flashlights extra glow sticks and planning books! I also have some crafts and books for the boys plus puzzels and games. We'll be fine. I'll at least check in tomorrow morning to say hi! Well that's if we have power. I'm far enough north it shouldn't be an issue but thnx for caring.
I'm glad to hear that you are all prepared. Still hope it won't hit you hard!
