We try to avoid that, but it's getting increasingly harder to do. The parks are so full now, it's difficult to "go with the flow".I don't mind the ADRs so much as having to book FP around them
Me too!I like your Mom!![]()
@donaldtoo I hope you got a good night's sleep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did you dream of bacon and beer?![]()
I tried it, and I didn't like it.Well, when you put it like that, it definitely doesn't sound appetizing!
And yet I'm still interested in at least trying it, especially if @donaldtoo likes it!![]()
I agree, everyone one needs a outlet once in a while. She must be being pulled in both directions.I definitely had the same thought. Even if I give him the benefit of the doubt that he's truly concerned, that doesn't give him the right to try to control what she talks about in therapy. And there's no therapist in the world who would say that she shouldn't talk about the divorce!![]()
He is his own worst enemy. The court will probably tell him that, at least I hope they do.Definitely agree he needs the therapy, but when someone doesn't want or think they need help, it's useless.
Electroshock sounds good to me. I can't even count the number of times I've wanted to literally shake some sense into him in the last 7 months!![]()
Great advice, and funny story about your son.I'm a lover of all things Tomato minus sun dried tomatoes and tomato juice. Still there is something about a well made Bloody Mary that immediately makes you forget it has tomato juice in it. At Disney, a consenting adult, a person of your age, not a real issue. When my son was in college in Wisconsin initially at 18 he could order a drink with us at a bar or restaurant.
Me, I was never a fan of the age being raised up to 21. Illinois was 19 for beer and wine and Wisconsin was 18 till the Feds stepped in. When we vacationed in Mexico I never had any issues at 14 in a resort ordering a Margarita. It actually made the family vacation at that age more tolerable lol. The only time I had an issue in Mexico, my Mom, her friend, her two 16 year old twin DDs and me 16, going into a night club with our Moms. They said no. They had great music and it was a fun spot at night right next to our hotel. So we left, our Moms went in. 20 minutes later the 3 16 years olds went in together. No issue.
We were always served wine as small kids at Sunday dinner at my Grans. The kids got these tiny little cordial glasses. My belief is because it wasn't forbidden, that 21 right of passage, it generally lacked the curiosity and appeal that it does today to many college students. I remember my son being so curious about beer when I was stocking the bar for his birthday party when he was around 10. I opened one let him taste it, wasn't amused he spit it out so quickly all over me. Curiosity Cured for a long long time. He was such a finicky eater my gut told me he would hate it. Just didn't think I'd be wearing it.
Grandson is turning 13 in March, I'm seeing changes in him too. His voice is changing right now. And he likes to spend more time in his bedroom. Still not interested in girls.
I will be checking out the weather channel today, and hope for the best for you.Good morning! I'm all prepared for the worst. The map still shows us close to the northern edge of the worst. It could still go either way for usI'm hoping for 4-6 inches of carp. Just enough for my boys to make money and not enough to screw things up too badly.
I'm glad to hear you are getting some relief. Will hope for more as the day wears on. Sorry you have to be off your feet. Thanks!
Much better right now. Great feeling once the pain starts to relent a little.
The med seems to be working.
Your reply is worth way more than 2 cents.I'm glad she is handling it okay, it might be helpful to try therapy. I think most judges would agree it would be beneficial for a child to be able to talk to someone freely and not stress her out. And if she doesn't like it or respond well to it, the therapy can always end. Although that is my two cents.
I love your son's story. A good laugh for me today! Thanks. My husband called me once and started with "Don't freak out" which of course made me instantly freak out. He had been driving to work on the interstate and a semi went to change lanes and didn't see him. Fortunately the semi was right along side, so he ended up just pushing hubby's car sideways and it only did a bit of damage to the driver's side back door, but no one was injured. So he calls me and says "Don't freak out. I was in an accident, but I'm fine." I told him next time to please lead with "I'm fine." DS was 6 I think, and since his door needed to be replaced, he asked if he could have a blue one (our car is red) and hubby said that might not look very nice...so he said red was ok, but could it maybe have blue flames on it. rofl
I like sleeping when it snows. Maybe more like hibernating.I love reading when the weather gets furious outside. Or maybe a puzzle.
Glad to hear your son is doing better.Obnoxious and in trouble. We didn't have a good morning. He went back to school today, but he is banned from the computer and iPad until further notice, which he is pouting about. But, the good news is, he isn't coughing nearly as much and he's obviously feeling better, thanks!
I do what I can, but I'm hardly that perfect. I'm pretty grumpy IRLYou are such a wonderful son looking after your mother. Meanwhile at my house![]()
if they do, ask their parents to pay lol. You do not have to carry the entire weight on you.No I didn't extend an invite to any of his friends. This trip is costing me an arm a leg and maybe a kidney! he wants to bring all of them!NOPE! Not going to happen!
and what it was on the end? a pinched nerve? blood cloths?Sympathy like. Are you alright? Have you been to the doctor now? What did he/she say? I had that during my pregnancy, though it was in my hip/pelvis. My second was worse than my first...I was wheelchair bound for about 3-4 weeks when it got so bad that I had to crawl to the bathroom because I couldn't put weight on my right hip it hurt so bad. I'm betting yours isn't pregnancy related, so hopefully the doctor can do something for you!!!
I'm glad to hear that you are all prepared. Still hope it won't hit you hard!I'm fine kerosene heater, grill, camp stove, fridge filled with pre cooked food. Lots of fleece jammies! The big freezer is in the unheated garage if we need to move stuff. I made it through Sandy for a week with no power as I have flashlights extra glow sticks and planning books! I also have some crafts and books for the boys plus puzzels and games. We'll be fine. I'll at least check in tomorrow morning to say hi! Well that's if we have power. I'm far enough north it shouldn't be an issue but thnx for caring.
