I hated game meat. The only kind I liked was when mom made Veal Parmesan. Anything else just was tough and tasted sagey. We had hunters on my dad's ranch every year and of course my dad hunted with them, and my mom did occasionally too. But I hated it and I hated the game meat. My mom would get mad at me because she'd try to hide it by mixing ground antelope in with the hamburger, but I could always taste it. She'd accuse me of going through the trash and finding the wrapping from the antelope....she apparently couldn't taste the difference. You'd have to have dead taste buds not to taste the difference!

I'm not a fan of game meat either. My family claimed they couldn't tell the difference between beef and venison either, but I could. Eventually my mom gave up trying to make me eat it, she cooked up some fish sticks usually for me instead. Which I hate fish too, but it was tastier than venison. I wish I could ask her why she picked fish sticks since I hated those too, I suppose she didn't want to reward me too much for being picky.

Also, when we went to Wyoming we tried antelope and elk sausage. The antelope wasn't that great, it had a different taste. The elk wasn't too bad though. We didn't buy any of either of those, we did buy some bison sausage. That was good.

-My dh likes it way too cold in the bedroom, last night I seriously thought about making him sleep in the garage. he slept with just a thin blanket! Me electric blanket cranked up and 5 quilts:coldfeet::coldfeet::coldfeet::coldfeet:

I have a quilt, a cotton tightly woven/knit kind of blanket and a sheet. House generally around 66. You'd think with all those greens you eat your iron level alone would keep you warmer. Electric Blanket and 5 quilts, I'd just die. But when I was younger I slept with a feather bed (warmer than a feather quilt about 6 inches thick) year round.

Poor little pumpkin. Hope you don't get it.
I hope this doesn't sound like a "what about me moment", but, all of a sudden I'm feeling sad. When I was a kid I had Chicken Pox, Mumps, Measles and a number of other knock you down and kick you in the butt temporary sicknesses and no one, not one person, ever referred to me as a "Poor Little Pumpkin". No wonder I'm always grumpy. :(:grumpy:

Duly noted. We'll have to do something about that the next time you have to go in for an 'exam' for your illness. Then maybe you won't be so sad.
