I just finished my course on the history of Spain. I took six hours the day before my test about the Spanish civil war and dictatorship studying for it. Got a 97 on it. Admittedly, part of my strategy involved Wikipedia before the test, but what works, works.

I had to watch "La Lengua de las Mariposas" before the test (we had to watch a Spanish film before every test). That was just sad. :(

Congrats on the 97. I don't remember many scores of that number coming my way in college... :)

Thanks. :) It significantly helped my grade as my previous three test scores were 86, 86, and 87. I thought to myself, "Well, at least I'm consistent.":joyfull: Then I got the 97, and I checked tonight and I got a 95 on the final exam, so if I calculated my grade correctly, it should by an A-. Which is a huge weight off my shoulders since now my grades, other than Finance, should be 3 As and an A-. I'm really worried about Finance...it's been a miserable semester with that class.

Most excellent on the 4 classes excepting Finance. You should be quite proud of those!

Funny, the only 'A' I ever got in College was in Finance. I shudder to think how good I would have done if I had any interest in it or bothered to open the book. In other words, I have no clue how I got that grade, but, I didn't feel like I was in a position to argue, so I let it stand. :bookworm::joyfull:

So sorry...

Thanks. She so doesn't want it to be broken. It's not getting better. Gone are the days when I'd toss her in car and take her to the ortho, seems she is almost there. I'm pretty sure she broke it once in college too but she plowed through it 'cause she had no idea how she would have showered with a cast in a dorm bathroom.

its a necessity now.. considering how embedded and globalized the nations are.

While I learned French, a given where I grew up, socially it was the language to learn, it was pretty dang useless. Funnier because I worked for a German firm my entire first career.

Still I grew up in an era where English was global language everyone spoke. Subsequently Spanish became the coveted language to learn given the immigration to the USA. Now an equally coveted language in the workplace in this area is Polish.

Was Finance less complicated when you went to school? After all, you say there were only 20 numbers...:p

Sorry, I mean delaying the visit to the doctor by one week more. could make it worse for her (infection, bleeding.. swolling. bone regrowing crocked..etc..)

Ohhhh. I'm with ya now. Yep. My thoughts too. Still if it is any type of a stress break or fracture those don't show up for a couple weeks on an X Ray. Knowing her history both she and I know this is fitting the pattern for that foot. The Mom in me wants to throw her in car and take her to the Ortho, the flip side of the Mom in me needs to respect her decisions and bite my tongue. The Mom card is a little thinner right now.

I'm in. I'll even bring the high speed blender so we can make some nice tropical drinks.

Oh good. My DD has a $400 blender vegamatic kinda thing for smoothies etc. She took it with her. I still have my Magic Bullet, a very useful machine but so not the same.

I grew baby Kale for her when she got it. Are you proud of me?

No. In regular Spanish, it would be Mayorca, with the a being pronounced as if you were saying "Ma" in English. In Catalan, it would be different, but Catalan is a different language than Spanish (even though both technically came from Spain...)

You should like Spanish. It has even fewer unnecessary letters than English does. :p

Would you frown at me if I said that made my head hurt just reading all that?
