A much different Tel Aviv than I remember from my youth. Nice to see.
I started a thread where I am posting all my vlog videos, starting with that one. There are two others there and one more that I have to edit before I post.

Also, I've been taking pics daily. And my photography just gets better. I'll search for the best of my best and post them in its own thread in the future.

I have all of them on Facebook, if you want to see them. Search Peter Jay Altschuler.

Well I did go to WDW Magic Kingdom my Senior year of high school. There was one park, a few hotels and a shopping district. I did love it though.
you're all lucky. I only had the opportunity of going to Disney until 2013 (disney world).
but then, I've had a great run so far.

2 WDW trips, 1 Disney Alaska Cruise, another WDW trip on my way in 20 days...
And I'm also hoping to get a cruise to the Caribbean as well.

*edit*
Fixed typo, I mean 2013.

Good morning and happy Monday. It's 2 1/2 weeks until Christmas! The tree is up, at least we got that done. We're so far behind this year!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm also glad not to be making ADRs in the middle of all the holiday crazy! We've always gone in June before so ADR time and holiday prep went hand in hand. But as soon as the house is back to normal it will be time to finalize the list.

Day 10 of the Adventure.... October 29 Thursday Pompeii

I trust that someone will let me know if this is getting just plain boring. Today we had decided to have a possibly explosive adventure and wander off to the Ancient city of Pompeii. There is not much to say other then acknowledging the massive effort that was, and continues to be, undertaken to bring this tragic city back to a place were it can be visited and in plain sight.

Once again, the European train system never fails to impress me. We ambled on over to the train station and caught the train to Naples. It was a very pleasant ride, as usual, and when we got to Naples we had to switch trains to a "local" train that went directly to the Ancient City. The train ride was interesting. A couple and their child (about 10 years old) boarded the train with a massive "Boom Box" and the boy had a drum. As soon as the train started they stood up front and hit the music to which the kid kept beat with his drum. It was loud and actually hurt my ears, but, one thing I learned about European culture is that begging is an art form (more on that in later installments). It nearly got to the point that I would have paid them whatever was necessary just to get them to stop. It didn't take too long before they realized that they were dropping the bucket into a dry well, so they moved on to the next car.

While I'm thinking about it, another apparently extremely popular thing in Europe is graffiti. It is everywhere. It is on public walls, factories, private homes and any solid fence that can be seen. It wouldn't be awful if it at least was creative and artful, but alas it is just junk and it is everyplace you look except the treasured tourist areas.

Anyway, that's neither here nor there. We arrived in Pompeii at close to lunch time. Stepped off the train and found that we were not more then 100 yards away from the entrance to the city. Along that 100 yards they were thoughtful enough to locate a number of sidewalk eating establishments. We stopped and had some Pizza before exploring further. Below is the train station. Notice the difference in the spelling of Pompeii (Pompei). Apparently the locals have decided that, unlike Canadians, they can drop useless, unneeded letters from words.

One other thing that I was surprised about is that even though Vesuvius is still an active Volcano, it is one in a chain of mountains around the area and I was unable to identify which one it was. This was important because at the first sign of smoke I was determined to hightail it out of the place. I believe that it is one of those in the middle right of the picture, but, was never able to verify.

Thank you again I'm loving every minute of my free vacation. You graffitti comment reminded me of my last trip to Disney some "genius" tagged the unerpass between the parking lot and the monorail at the TTC. We saw the saw tag 3 different days, ya think Disney would be more on top of those things! And with the price of tickets why even risk doing such a thing.

It's now official! I will be returning to Walt Disney World in January 2016!

In addition, I'm probably going to be visiting Disneyland Resort and Tokyo Disneyland during spring break.
Congrats and have fun! Do you drive to WDW and if you do how long does it take. It looks like we might just have a free day to do something not related to Disney or UNI on our trip next summer. That will depend on how much time we spend over at UNI.

Good Monday morning everyone. I hope everyone had a nice week-end. Saturday is was relatively warm, so we cut branches off the two trees that were damaged in the snow storm. Finally most of the ice and snow melted away. After working hours on that task, I was too tired to even move. Sunday, being outside most of the day Saturday, my allergies gave me fits. So I spent most of the day taking it easy, and finishing wrapping Christmas presents. We went to see Christmas lights last night with the kids. I hope to post a couple pictures, after hubby downloads them to my computer.

Same down here, but you have to spend $35 or more (I guess because of the value of the dollar difference). I usually manage to hit that. I find that however long it takes depends on where in the US the shipment is coming from. I just did a huge Amazon order today (it's Black Friday). It should be interesting to see how long it takes for each item.
I know I'm so far behind but I ordered five things from Toys R Us and it took two days, ordered A LOT :angelic: from Bath and Body Works and it took a week. I ordered nine things from Wal-Mart and the order came in SIX different packages. o_O That's crazy.

toysrus.com has free shipping after you spend $19. That was easy breezy. (Legos :D )
