Ivory Tower Squabble EST 2011. WINDMILL SURVIVOR
I have days where I just don't feel like applying for jobs. Just give me one. Anyone? My two interviews the other day were a bust....first one wanted more experience (they called it an assistant) and second one was sales. I'm not a sales person. But one on Monday for something I would like to do though the job description was 0 - 15 years experience  and for an amazing company.

I apply for jobs up and down the east coast and some in select cities around 'Merica but I never had an interview outside of Southern New England.

The farthest my DD has traveled for an interview is 3 hours, the rest have been phone interviews or skype.

then its a problem of their kids and their parents, not the store.

Toys R Us has always been a toy store marketed as a childrens toy store. Babies R Us was consolidated several years ago with Toys R Us, it has never been an "adult" toy store or marketed that way. So having toys sold in a childrens store that has meth as an accessory doesn't go over with families. Frankly wasn't going over well with a chunk of adults either. Likely why Toys R Us pulled the adult toys quickly. Not worth it to the giant retailer to loose their key demographic of sales.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.

Agree. On all points.

Or, in other words, with Jack, I call it, "tough love" !! :hilarious: Now, if only he'd mend his misbegotten ways . . .

The bunny still is soggy if it goes swimming..
That seems to easy. What about condensation wouldn't it get wet that way?

Hey, what about dry ice? That would keep the chocolate Easter bunnies nice and chilly, and the ice wouldn't melt. I think I have just solved the dilemma for @MOXOMUMD ! (I also think it's great that there will be an additional Easter basket for her and daughter when they return home, too.)

(Oh, a note to: @Cesar R M , I said Easter again, because I know you secretly want to talk about Easter! ;) )

The primary sales demographic for Toys R Us is children. Although I agree that some parents need to do a better job of watching their kids, I also believe that a store catering to children, has a responsibility to take reasonable steps to consider what items they display.

I don't have children, but I remember how careful my own parents were to shield me from things that were inappropriate for children to see. My hunch is that if I was still a kid now, with my same parents, and we walked into a toy store and saw those "toys", my parents would have quickly whisked me away to another aisle. And they probably would have marched up to the customer service desk and demanded to see the manager of the store, to complain about the offensive items.

If the toy store insisted on carrying these items, then they should have been kept them in a separate area of the store (a cordoned off area with perhaps a turnstyle) that required age identification from customers to enter (adult only, or 16+).
