Keep hearing this Jackpot song on the radio. Finally looked up what the heck she is singing in the chorus. Talk about misheard lyrics. I thought she was saying, "All I think about day and night, is having you in matching lights. I hit the jackpot, baby." It didn't make sense but I thought for sure!

Now the real words:

All that I think about day and night
Is having you in my dream life
Imma’ hit the jackpot right

I never did that to my daughter. If she wanted something on my plate instead of hers we shared.

But then someone has to eat the gross/bland food. I guess I just don't understand why it all can't be good. I think a kid's meal should just be a smaller portion of the regular meal...like in the good old days...when we didn't wear seat belts and played with lawn darts.

Absolutely NOT true. Unfortunately there have been aholes that have done carp to candy. My best friend started her nursing career in a big city ER and one Halloween saw a handful of kids come in due to candy that had something injected into it. They were able to track where the candy came from and put the dude in jail. It's sad that there are sickos in the world that's why I check all my daughter and niece's candy before they can eat it.

Interesting. Weird that the media doesn't report any of these specific cases?

There has actually been a lot of scholarly research on this. (If you want to take a look, this Wikipedia article points to some: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poisoned_candy_myths and Snopes.com is filled with stuff.) Expert consensus is that this is a scare tactic and rarely has ever happened in history. But everyone knows someone who knows someone...

Have fun tonight, my ghoulies!

These are hilarious! My favourite was the Evil Washing Machine. You wonder how someone even thought of that. But this photo is awesome. Cinder-elephant:

Sympathy like. I'm lucky my boys would always eat everything (placed in front of them) and now they eat everything (in sight) LOL

My kids are like that too. Human vacuum cleaners. At first, I thought it was a good thing but now as they are getting bigger, they are eating me out of house and home. (Of course, I'm a bit of a strict Mama and they never really had a choice.)

I also agree with this. It hasn't been so much in recent years around here, but there was a period of time years ago that some children in this state were also injured by sickos. Parents should continue to be vigilant and check over the bags of candy that their kids receive.

I wasn't suggesting that you shouldn't check out the candy. Sorry guys...didn't state my point very well. I think we should be cautious and careful as can be. I was saying that it is not something people should be stressed about as it is made out to be a bigger issue than it actually is. Emergency rooms are not filled with sick children who have been intentionally injured by Halloween candy each year. You are much more likely to trip on your costume. That's all I was saying.

Sorry...back to my regularly scheduled cute cat photos.

I actually wondered why the hell they didnt have stands next to attractions which had very long lines.
It could help by selling them water and other stuff.
Id totally buy inline.
the only area I seen a cart near a huge line of waiting people.. was on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. (2 carts, one for mist fans and memoralia, and other of drinks)

This is a very good question. I was wondering this just last night. I went to an amazing adult haunted house that had a two hour wait and a very well done queue. They had tables set up selling snacks along the way while you waited. They were also playing a Halloween movie that you could watch while you went through the line which I thought was excellent. I would assume Disney would make big money off of in-queue snacks. Maybe they don't want to have to clean up the mess?

I am loving this Halloween on a Saturday thing! Certainly leaves a lot more time to get ready and there are so many more events. Is anyone doing anything different this year because of the extra time?

My son has a Halloween dance tonight, which we will take him too, and I think we'll do the kids haunted experience at the science museum tomorrow before trick-or-treating.

Are you sitting down, are you sure. I'm not responsible if you're not!!!!!!!! Here goes. I have to start dinner early as I'm making chicken soup today, yes with real chicken LOL I have to roast some veggies for the stock, hence the need to start early. I'm going to divide the stock and chicken into 2 batches the first will be an egg drop soup with real eggs and the other is going to be a chicken veggie soup with rice. I have a whole chicken that needs to get skinned joy of joys that's not exactly my favorite job.

Oh Figment, that sounds incredible!
