Oh, isn't that funny--I LOVE plaids! HA! I've finally found a kindred spirit. Hubby always chuckles at me when I'm looking at the clothes from L L Bean (where plaid is always king!). Hubby refers to L L Bean as "Plaid World"! :p I've always been intrigued by plaids and the different tartan clan heritage colors and designs. I've had a number of plaid, wool skirts over the years as well. There's just something about plaid! :joyfull:

This Scottish girl agrees!!

The live action Cinderella was okay, but the animated one is way better!!
The live action Cinderella I love, although Ever After is still my favorite version of Cinderella. I liked that the prince had more personality, that it explained her backstory a bit better (like why the stepmother hated her and why she chose not to leave). Plus Cinderella in that movie was strong. Not in a kick-butt kind of way, but she didn't allow her circumstances to break her, and she didn't put her own happiness above the well-being of the prince and the kingdom.

I actually don't like the animated one that much...and Cinderella is my second least favorite princess, right next to Snow White, who is at the bottom. I watched both versions on the same day after I had my surgery, and I much preferred the new version. The prince's lack of personality in the original really bothers me. That, and Lucifer.

I thought bison and buffalo are the same? o_O

Nope.

Early American settlers called bison “bufello” due to the similar appearance between the two animals, and the name "buffalo" stuck for the American variety. But it's wrong. The American bison (Bison bison) lives only in North America, while the two main buffalo species reside in Africa and Asia.Sep 6, 2012

To tell the difference between a buffalo and a bison, "just look at the horns,” MacPhee says. “[Bison’s] are like typical cow horns; in buffalo, they are relatively huge, sweeping arcs." Bison also have a large shoulder hump. (Telling the difference between the two species of bison is slightly tougher. "An average male European bison has less hair, especially in the cape, or mane,"

That explains why I love both Tangled, Frozen and Brave. I'm happy Disney has upped it's princess game. I'm hoping it's really the end of one dimensional Characters.
