When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
BTW, what are y'all payin' for gas, these days?
There's a place just a few miles down the road that has regular unleaded for $2.42.
We have years-long record lows $1.06-$1.09 per litre, so $4.00 to you.
Ridiculous!
Beats the buck forty we were recently paying though.

Good ole taxes.

I'm trying to figure out the meat--is that sausage and pork? Maybe it's just how the picture came out on my end; it doesn't look like turkey behind the sausage. Regardless, it looks good. You did remember to bring us all doggie bags right? :hungry:

It's brisket, sausage, and turkey. A bit of the turkey can be seen in the upper center of that compartment. There's a lot more turkey there, it's just covered up by all the sauce and other meats...!!! :joyfull: :D :hungry: :)

As far as the doggy bags go...
Please, tell me we don't hafta' get the attorneys involved, again...?! o_O

:D ;)

Wow, I must be a real snob.
I don't do doggy bags.
I bring Tupperware.

I like many different styles of art; it's interesting to view. That doesn't mean I'd hang up certain paintings at home, but I like looking at them, for what they are. Now, as for Norman Rockwell, I do like his work as well. In MA, there is a Norman Rockwell Museum with quite a few of his paintings. Went to that museum years ago and really enjoyed it.

Oh, I also laughed about the "missing" floating condos, but I would have simply referred to them as the floating DVC eyesores!

Same here on the art. :)

And, same here on the rental tract homes. :grumpy:

Ferris Bueller and The Breakfast Club are, hands down, the two best teen-angst movies ever made.
So many layers. Much deeper than they initially appear.

Funny thing is, even though there wasn't a lot of teen angst for me, I, very much, love both of those movies.
Maybe 'cause, even though I didn't go through so much of it, I sure did witness so many others dealin' with it...

In Central IL I paid $3.02 last week, Saturday I payed $3.09 up here, tonight when I went to fetch the DD I saw it break down to $2.98. Out here we are cheaper than other counties or Chicago but we have the highest prices nationwide. Joy Joy. Add it to the list of reasons to leave Illinois.

I should have added a smilie or two.
I actually watch WGRZ news. And WIVB. Both out of Buffalo.

My point was - it's so ridiculously snowy, blowy and drifty there right now, that that pic could have been anything from a deer to a barbeque to the top of a slide; and without a caption, no one would be able to discern the identity of said object.

And it's not going to get better for a day or two.
In a perfect world, I actually wanted to have gone to WDW about 8-10 days later than we ended up booking, so I would have been due to arrive back at Buffalo today through Friday. I'd say we dodged a bullet there.
My friend is still stuck.

I love love love Ferris Bueller too, angst not so much. With the film being shot in Chicagoland I can mentally walk right into the film in my head having been at most of the locations that it was shot many were very close to where I grew up in the suburbs. The high school is where my Mom taught school (until my little Sis graduated from our high school, then she knew it was safe to transfer to our school.) Love watching Ferris!

We call Tupperware HillBillyWare, much like Corelle pretending to be stoneware, WantaBeWare.
Tupperware is big bucks now.
My mom used to sell it 37+ years ago, so I have a particular affection for it.
I used to love helping her pack her big bag before "parties" and practising her presentation.
She just seemed so "worldly" to me.
I even remember her manager's name. And address. How weird is that?

The last party I attended was about 10 years ago, here in my home, hosted by my Mom.
I bought a large (very large) white salad bowl (dark blue lid) for $70.
Seriously $70, ten years ago, for a ginormous bowl. I still have it though.
