86* here. Finally!
@ajrwdwgirl , more amazing pictures!!! I don't think you're a school teacher. Secret's out -- you're a professional photographer!!!
All of your pictures tell a story. You have a good eye for what is truly unique. Aside of the splendid historical locations you visited, I have to say I was quite interested in the pub pictures and the pub food. I think what surprised me about the food in particular, was just how nicely it was plated -- in a pub . . . (Years ago, I worked for a hotel company, so I have an appreciation for "details" in food and beverage, etc.) I love pub atmosphere, and I rarely drink, but enjoyed going to them for the food. (That was back when I visited Ireland.) The pubs were friendly and laid back, and many entire families would go there. They were social gathering places in the cities, towns and villages.
Yorkshire pudding seems interesting. Totally doesn't live up to it's name. Then again neither does bread pudding. I love bread pudding, never had yorkshire. I remember one day on the Food Network, the Brits have a dish called Bubble and Squeak.

Some of the British candy bars we brought home. The mint Aero is amazing, like an Andes mint but lighter.

The three of us all have Celtic names that don't sound like how they're spelled so you think HE would remember.Wow!
I have some Mossy Oak shirts but I only have one Mickey.No camo for me. I live in a rural area and camo is very popular. I would rather stay away from it. I'll stick to my Mickey Mouse tee-shirts.
I was announcing a horse show and one of the rider's name was Niamh. I had no clue how to pronounce it,so I asked her and it is a Celtic name pronounced neave. It means radiance. I'm glad I asked because I would have really messed it up!The three of us all have Celtic names that don't sound like how they're spelled so you think HE would remember.
Bubble and squeak is good depending on what vegetables are used.Yorkshire pudding seems interesting. Totally doesn't live up to it's name. Then again neither does bread pudding. How was DTD looking?At DTD now and OMG there are so many people!!![]()
Bubble and squeak's main ingredients are potatoes and brussel sprouts with whatever leftover vegetables are on hand.Is the award for me? Thanks!
The bangers (sausages) and mash at the Rose and Crown in Epcot are served with bubble and squeak. I guess it is something with cabbage and since I don't like cabbage I get it without. I never saw bubble and squeak on a menu in London although I guess I wasn't really looking.
Old FaithfulI love this picture today.![]()
It was a limited series made by Steven Spielberg.What is the taken series, I don't watch much TV , I do like the various cooking channels, and love the history channel. What channel is this on? I did see a new Ancient Aliens is coming on soon. On the history channel. Is Taken on the history channel? Or fiction? I don't watch much fiction. I think the world is interesting enough to watch all the history we were taught, and not taught. I'm not worried about the military.....I didn't tell them that I saw anything. Again I was too scared. That was over 15 years ago. But, it did make an impression. Someone else was on the nightly news reporting what he saw, he was made out to be a nutcase. I have no interest in publicity, or worse...
Well, it depends on your point of view.But, I also rule nothing out, as the Bible talked about "angels", and "demons" interacting with humans. I'm not God , so I don't know, but I have faith that all will be understood in the end.
You know, after seeing the pub food and how tasty it looked, the gordon ramsay shows.. and other things...Thanks for the nice words about my pictures. I was surprised at how good the pub food was too, and it was nice presented. I just like the feeling of being in those pubs, it is so cozy and many are historical. Next time I go to Epcot I might have to spend a little time inside the Rose and Crown, I have eaten there but always on the patio so I will have to request inside to enjoy the atmosphere.
That's what we had today too. There was also an excellent breeze, it was wonderful out in the hammock today with the pup.
