Wow! My hair is short by comparison, been decades since it has been that long. Mine mid--back.

I'll never forget my DD at about 8 years old, walking up to me at my desk wanting to approach me about cutting her hair, it too was down to her tushie, beautiful, straight and medium blonde, so shiny because of all the chlorine.
She started to speak and burst into tears.

She wanted a foot cut off her hair. She had never said anything before. Gave her a big hug, told her to wait 2 weeks and if she still wanted it gone that was fine, she didn't have to have real long hair. 2 weeks to the day we had it cut to just below her shoulders where it remains today. Two long braids from that first haircut were donated to
Locks of Love for young kids undergoing Chemo.

Very cool! :)
Our youngest DD also did the same for Locks of Love when she was a teen. Her hair was down to her lower back.

Oh boy! Now my little angels think we should add the water parks and more option! We've never been to either! If you've been how long do you usually spend there? Now I really wish we had @StarWarsGirl95's wisdom on the subject!
Popped in to answer a PM...

Depends on the water park and what you like. We like slides and can spend all day at Blizzard Beach. Some people prefer to chill and use the wave pool, and for that, they can spend all day at Typhoon Lagoon, whereas we only spend half a day there.

I think the waterpark fun and more option is great. You could spend several mornings there and hit the parks later in the day, and if it storms, you just leave. You also don't have to worry about picking a good day for the waterpark based on the weather as much. :)

Well, might as well tell you all some of what's going on now that I know more...

A while ago, I twisted my thumb and heard a pop, reaching into my purse. I was trying not to use the hand and was wearing an ace bandage, but got concerned by a raised bump at the base of the thumb. I went to get it checked out, and it turns out that I tore the ligament. Doctor thinks it's just a partial tear. I hope he's right. So I'm in a splint (thankfully he says swimming is still okay) for four weeks. Typing on my laptop/Surface is really tough right now, and I can only do a one finger tap on my iPod, so you probably won't see me too much for a while.

The only good part about all of this is no dishes for four weeks...:angelic:

So when exactly do you add the cup of ammonia? Do you let the water fill up and then pour it in with the detergent, or do you add the ammonia to the final rinse? I find all this oddly fascinating.

I don't have any ammonia, so I guess I could buy some this weekend and try it. (I've heard about the ammonia/bleach thing though; it's dangerous if mixed together. But not to worry; I don't own any bleach either! :p ) All I have is Tide and a small bottle of Woolite for delicate things.

All at once. I put in detergent, fabric softener and last about a cup of ammonia about 2 inches of the bottle to water and close door quickly, it stinks only when door is open, mixes quickly with water. It also disinfects against staff germs which was important considering I had competition swimmers and those towels kinda went all over the decks and locker rooms. It takes the mildew smell out of anything that gets musty wet, like those forgotten beach towels. It is great in removing deoderant from clothing, make-up and little grease splatters on clothes.

Cost 99 cents to $1.60 (around here) per bottle. FYI our Target doesn't sell it anymore. Grocery stores here all do as does Walmart.

Waist sizes, yes, but not length. They assume that if your waste size is anything above a 28, then your legs are about 60 inches long and work full time for the NBA. The sizes do not often match the reality. Apparently wherever they are made has a population of extremely tall people. They also way overestimate the circumference of legs as well. I'm a big guy, but, I usually can fit both legs in the same pant leg. I hate that! I don't want them "pegged" like they were when I was in high school, but, at least a little closer to reality. So, I have my own favorite tailoring place and usually for less then $10.00 I can get them to at least look like they fit. I don't mind that so much if I buy off the rack at say, Walmart or Target, but, when I pay top dollar for them at other places, I do not want to have to pay extra just to wear them the first time.

Off the rack I've always been able to purchase guys clothes by both waist and length in 2" increments. Levi's or Dockers I could buy in 28, 30, 32, 34 and so forth length. Women's came in sizes like 2, 4, 6, 8 etc and they certainly are not as universal as men's waist sizes and the lengths come in short, average, long, though most stock is average/medium.

I agree with the legs of pants. Women's clothes though more age appropriate don't fit me, especially pants and skirts. I could easily fit 2 legs in a leg of pants in the women's section. I tend to head to the juniors department because God didn't give me women's hips so there are these handfuls of material on the sides of jeans, skirts and dress slacks. The trick is to find junior sized pants and jeans that are slim yet not inches below ones belly button 'cause while that is cute on the young it is Yikes!!! on someone my age, just not age appropriate. Women's Capri's are hilarious on me. Why any designer would think my size require 2 feet of material at the knee is beyond me. I can find dress slacks and jeans at places like Express but Dear Lord, they are expensive!!! Then pay the tailor to fix the dress slacks length. I love new clothes, enjoy shopping however needing particular items never goes well. :bored:
