Hey Goofyer remember the reel to reel tapes we could get when we were in the sunny tropics in our youth. Lost mine in hurricane Hugo had a 100 BASF tapes. Only music I don't like Rap and disco. I'm a Stones fan over the Beatles.
I had a number of those that I continued to use until my reel to reel broke and couldn't find another. They were very rare by then and have never made a comeback to my knowledge. I think mine disappeared about a year after my machine broke down. No use keeping them, 8-tracks and then cassettes had taken over anyway.

The Stones had a number of good songs, but I never really could get into them. For some reason that, to this day, I cannot explain, I do not like Mick Jagger even though we almost share birthdays. He was born 5 years and 1 day before I was. I have been terribly amused by the fact that Keith Richards is still alive. And they say drugs are bad for you. 🤔🙂

I was also a fan of the Doors for awhile. I guess they were able to "Light my Fire". BTW, I liked José Feliciano's rendition of 'Light my Fire' as well. Of course, the Animal's 'We Gotta Get Out Of This Place' was quite popular while residing in the sunny tropics.

I've been changing my list up as of late by adding in the Carpenters. So sad what happened
I had my fill of 'Rainy days and Mondays' when it first came out. That said, however, Karen had a magnificent voice. I wonder how come so many musically gifted, talented, successful people end up harming themselves, one way or the other. When no talent slugs like myself tend to keep pushing on.

You're a man of many talents;)
She was the Britney of her generation only with way more talent. I only recently found out she was an award winning drummer before the public knew she could sing
