I've heard about traditional fish feast, but I thought it was next weekend?Me, goes to the grocery store and fish stand this morning, if you know you know. Anyhoo the fish stand doesn't open until 9 on Sunday as it's when 8am Mass gets out. I feel sorry for retail worker everywhere, by 9:15 every parking lot was packed

It's a Christmas Eve tradition. I shopped yesterday, vac sealed and froze everything because the lines will be crazy long next week. My shopping next weekend will be solely comprised of fresh produce, I'll rope drop then hide safely in my house far away from the crowds, thinking about it I'll probably go Monday when nobody else is grocery shopping
What are you having? I might need to come over! Always wanted to do 7 fishes but my mom does boring chicken salad.
Calamari fried, pulpo grilled, smelts the boys like them pan fried, baccala in tomato sauce, salmon baked with lemon garlic sauce, stuffed haddock, tuna grilled served over baby greens. It's interesting trying to do this with 2 with shellfish allergies. No mussels, clams or scallops this year
The 2 going on the grill is weather permitting, I have alternative cooking/serving options should everything get done inside

We do have chicken parm or eggplant for Christmas though. My mom is Portuguese and French but makes more Italian food than anything. Go figure.
