with all the engine problems of Kias, id stay the hell away from them.

It was on the news here in Canada, where some buyers have to wait up to 1 year to get their engines replaced under warranty because there were so many of them failing or destroying themselves.
Problem is you hear horror stories of all makes and models nowadays. Better to just rely on your own two feet.

Your feet are fine. I hear it's the ankles that let the side down.
I actually haven't sprained my ankle in a while. The left knee has been a nuisance ever since I tore the left PCL, and I have falling arches (thanks for those, Mom).

At least because I was riding a bike when I hurt the knee, I can say it was an athletic injury. 😂

I’d get a Kia over a Jeep or Chrysler product any day of the week.
Ironically. In the latest study of "reliability". Jeep ranked higher than both XD

Toyota still in the top 3.

It rains everywhere and it is important to have good tires with good tread. The tread gives the ability of the tire to displace the water instead of ride up on it. Therefore, it will have no bearing on how many wheels are under power. The problem in the rain is hydroplaning which happens mostly when someone is driving to fast in heavy rains, period. You could have 15 wheels turning if they are being held away from the surface of the road it will not matter at all. It might be fun to blame stuff like that on the equipment when actually the equipment is only as good as the operator. If one is going slow enough even bald, no tread, tires will stay in contact with the road during any type of downpour.
I have driven AWD and FWD in rain weather related. It is much more noticeable the vehicle is more planted on the road with AWD.

My husband has one of those and so do two of my friends. I think they are snazzy.
With Buicks made in China and other car makes made in Europe and Far East being imported to the USA , not if but when those dreaded tariffs costs are passed onto the consumer in terms of vehicles and parts Of much higher pricing starting end of Jan 2025.

Acura , Toyota , Honda ( with a few recalls ), have regularly been tops in reliability surveys. Land Rover, Jaguar, Mercedes Benz, VW, Jeep , Chrysler , Dodge are in the bottom half of reliability studies.
