I couldn't get into the original Magnum. My mom showed me a few episodes and just...eh.

I am still alive also despite I had to deal with back in the 80s. I had Chickenpox in the 1980s with it being over 100 degrees outside at the time and I ended up in the hospital. Parents house at the time had fans and box fans. Lets say having chicken pox in over 100 degree weather is not something you want to deal with.
80s had some great stuff. There was some great video games, great movies that came out in that decade and some great music.
The times where handheld electronic idiot boxes did not exist. More discussion with friends and family , to go look up information one had to go to the library , read a real map, etc,
Yea, one had to exert more energy to do things back in the day without the ease of just using your fingertips and a keyboard current day.
That's sad. I mean, you couldn't go down internet rabbit holes at 2 am learning about non-British European monarchies? So sad.
Yea its called getting your butt to the library and looking the info up on microfilm during operating hours or looking up in a print magazine
but that..means.. talking to other people.. like a normal well adjusted people.. which I am not.. THE HORROR! XD
