Celebrating my birthday by watching shark movies and eating tacos later. This is the life.

From what you have posted on this board, I'd say that you have very strong gene's in the family, but even with that, I'll bet you that there isn't a day that goes by that they don't ask themselves if tomorrow will be that day. Just a natural thing. As we get older we tend to have it cross our minds more often. Don't get me wrong, it isn't something we think about constantly, but I'll guarantee you that they have the thought. People like your parents are not just physically strong, but mentally strong as well. I joke about it myself, but you will have to understand that I refuse to just let myself be old and as long as I can move a limb, I will "not go gentle into that good night" and will "rage against the dying of the light," I don't remember it entering my brain box when I was 60 either. I have a mixed likelihood because my mom passed at 87 but my dad was only 74. So I'm up for grabs at this point, but unless they make me an offer I can't refuse, I will be fighting it every inch of the way.

Oh, even from an early age, there wasn’t a day that went by that the thought didn’t enter my mind.
My classmate and best friend, David, was hit and killed by a car on his street at age 7.
Another classmate of mine in junior high, Denise, was killed in a car wreck (with her entire family) on the way back from getting a Christmas tree.
The 13-year-old sister, Beth, of my best friend, Jeff, in junior high had a brain aneurysm and died 4 days later.
The thought enters my mind several times a day, and as you stated, even more so as I get older.
But, yes, I too really don’t wanna’ check out anytime soon, as I would also maybe like to see a great grandchild, or two, like my Folks…!!!!! :hilarious: :inlove::happy:;)
