Yes, Roark is diversifying to include risk mgt similar to my long term investing in diverse mutual funds domestic and emerging markets etc, and a typical 401K managed by a portfolio mgr.
I just hope this one doesnt go into "to minimize our risks in capital because we purchased X stuff, we will cut workforce to the bone and make the rest work harder for peanuts" capitalistic move that happens always after a big purchase.

Ah the germ capital of the US keeps on giving...aka Disney or the plane. Brother tested positive for COVID today. My sister was sick too but she always gets sick at Disney. She tested negative though. Lucky I came home early from dog sitting before they got home.
Sorry to hear that they both are ill. As for your brother testing positive, he might have caught it anywhere, actually -- even in the airport or the plane on his ride down to Disney. Or, he could have caught it at Disney, as well. It's just that the numbers have been ticking upward the past month, and it's appearing in multiple states at this point. Anyway, I hope they both feel better soon.

Efficiency, streamline , automate , downsize , synergy , etc . Those are buzzwords of how a number of companies run their operations and or outsource work to third world countries. Apple worth $3T has moved many operations from China to even a cheaper labor force to India and Vietnam. Now that's peanuts.

Record high on this date in Southeastern Wisconsin has been broken. It was 100 degrees outside and felt like 115 degrees outside.

This is the first 100 degree day where I live since June of last year and is the only 34th time since 1871 that the city I live in reached 100 degrees or higher.

Wow. Only 34 days of 100+ degree heat since 1871…?! I can’t even wrap my brain around that…as I posted, yesterdays rain ended 45 consecutive days of 100+ degree heat for us.
In 2011 alone we had 90 total days of 100+ degree heat…!!!!! :hilarious:
