As we speak we have massive thunderstorms coming through with 80 mph winds headed for the coast. The temperature has dropped from 97F (feels like 110F) to 78 degrees in less then 15 minutes.
If anywhere near exit 20 Lumberton NC I-95 , that's a flood area of NC, town real estate , streets and interstate floods and is underwater. A number of times we take a huge detour when that critical area to get points North and South are closed.

Enjoy your cooler temperatures. Jealous! (Hopefully, the rain will keep the heat level down.)
Its starting get warmer again. Its in the mid 70s today with no rain. Its going to be in the high 70s or mid 80s as a high for rest of the week starting tomorrow. As far as the lows go it would be anywhere from 59 to 70 degrees depending on what night of the week.

^^^^This, one time we drove west to 81 to get to Disney to avoid 95 due to a tropical system which wound up closing that area

Yup, someday they are going to need to raise that area of the highway. It happens quite often in that area.

If you drove 81 to 77 to I-95 to I-4 to WDW , I-77 you pass the Blue Ridge Mountains scenic drive with hills ( no real hills or mountains to speak of in FL ). I would not drive on I-77 on that stretch in any type of bad weather ( snow and ice ).

Take care!! It just went through my DD’s location. You have lots of outages right now.
Is your power on?
Yes, never lost it. We got lucky again and we only got a small piece of the storm as it headed north east. There were multiple major storms all running the same direction one after another. Luckily, all but that partial missed us completely. We got some of those winds and a lot of thunder and lightning and a short blast of rain were I am located. I haven't watched the news yet to see if it did any serious damage in the area.

Glad you’re all right. They had lots of damage from Greensboro to Raleigh. Thousands out, trees down, and power lines down. DH is headed there with a crew.
