Yuck. I only use ketchup on hamburgers. Pasta is for tomato sauce, or a white, creamy cheese sauce, like Alfredo.

You'd all be surprised about how something as simple and basic as a metal letter opener, is so hard to find! Not in stock at the Targets around here, nor at the multiple CVS's and Walgreens in the area, either. None in the office supply section of the local grocery stores. There are some Staples stores around, but they don't list (online) if an item is in that particular store's stock, or not.

I would have gone into a diabetic coma if I went everyday. Krispy Kreme had a nationwide promotion. If you showed your covid vaccination card you can get a free glazed donut everyday of the year during the covid heyday.

Are you sure about that? I do recall hearing that they had a promotion (at "some" point during the past few years), but I didn't think it went on indefinitely -- or even until the data trended downward last year. But maybe I'm wrong. Again, we don't have any around here.

Perhaps they figured that if you went out every week before long you would die of Covid and the reward would stop.

I had to get fingerprinted for the renewal of my last teacher's license, our state moved to a lifetime license so there were some new requirements. I ended up having to go to a photography/camera shop about 45 minutes away from my house. They do passport photos and have a fingerprinting machine as part of their services too. The process was easy and didn't involve any ink, it was digital scans of my prints.

Did you not have to get fingerprinted originally when you started teaching? I had to go to the police station and get printed even to work as a sub. Apparently anyone in the state of Wyoming who wants to work with children has to get printed.

Nope not as along as we went to a university in Wisconsin and our regular background checks were fine. When they switched to lifetime licenses and I had to supply the fingerprints it was only because my Masters degree I got was from a Minnesota university, even though I never once attended class in Minnesota it was all a collaborative group in Wisconsin. If my masters had been from a Wisconsin school I would not have been required to supply fingerprints. I have joked with people that I had tougher standards to uphold (physicals and random drug tests) to hold my college job at a factory (3M) than to keep my job for teaching.

Yeah...although to be fair, have you ever had to do a group project? Of course I spent 3.5 years on a rant about them!

Agree.

99% of the time 50% of the people in the team, do not do anything.
The rest wastes time or just doesn't know.
And you end being the one doing the entire thing.

Worse is when you could have done this faster by yourself.
