So, for the butter pecan ice cream enthusiasts on here, I picked up a pint of it to try today. Had to really look in the ice cream section, but I finally found it. Never heard of Nick's ice cream before, but it was from from California. Taste was sort of meh, and it wasn't even close to my other favorite ice cream flavors.

(That said, there may be taste differences from one brand to another. Since I've only tried it once from one brand only, I don't have anything else to compare it to.) Oh, here's what the carton looks like --

Some are excellent and some are meh,
Choice one homemade
Choice 2 1685992425191.png
For choice 1 you may want to have 911 on speed dial but choice 2 is well worth you taking a day trip;)

Speaking of ice cream.....apparently Gifford's had a fire so there's a shortage of Gifford's according to the local supermarket.

Oh apparently the fire was months ago.

I also read that, but as you said, it was some time ago. I have noticed that their products are missing from the Stop & Shop that I sometimes go to. Half wondering if they're still behind schedule, in keeping up with orders -- especially now, since we're heading into the summer months. I'm hoping the shortage is only temporary. I find it interesting that it's also an issue down in RI as well.

Different brands do vary in taste. I like Breyer’s and Edy’s. We also have a store brand that’s good.

On a cheat day, even though loaded with fat and calories , Haagen Daz butter pecan is good.
