holy crap.. months with no payment and they gave her only "gift cards" for compensation of being unable to pay her bills? XDFor reference, this is how companies should handle missed paychecks in the real world.

Payroll handled the whole thing and cut her a check with the okay from HR. Jane had referenced that not being paid put her in financial hardship and unable to pay bills, so HR allowed the use of the employee hardship fund and gave her $500 in gift cards so she can get groceries and gas and catch up on bills. I’m just kind of floored that she’s getting gift cards after speaking to her superiors like that. I’m also uncomfortable because why is our company responsible for her fiscal irresponsibility? Her personal finances or debts are not the company’s responsibility. I just don’t think it’s the company’s responsibility to give her more than what she’s earned (the extra $500 from the employee emergency relief fund) to fix things for her if she overspent or didn’t prioritize her bills or save smartly. We also don’t know if she is actually experiencing a financial hardship or just claiming she was.holy crap.. months with no payment and they gave her only "gift cards" for compensation of being unable to pay her bills? Makes you wonder what the hell is wrong with the person who wrote that thing.. they made the error and this person claims the worker should not get angry.Payroll handled the whole thing and cut her a check with the okay from HR. HR allowed her paid time to go to the bank today and deposit her check.
Ribs are in the oven.
My husband fired up the smoker and has been smoking ribs and pork butt most of the day. Dinner is still an hour away.
The ribs hubs made were super good and tender. Plenty of leftovers for tonight.I also had ribs on the grill, but I buy precooked ones (with the barbecue sauce on them). Takes less than 15 minutes to heat them through, and they're quite tasty! (Yet, I'm sure they're not even close to the perfection of your hubs' all-day smoker, or wdwfan4ver's oven-baked ribs.)
not relevant to the business goal? Really? It is if his business goal is to HAVE a business. You don't pay people, they won't do the work. They don't do the work, you don't have a business. So.....lol, when asked boss about my payment.. his words... "this is not really relevant to the business goal". really? XD
Well, since the boss washed his hands on this division months ago. No surprise he doesn't give a ratass if the company dies.not relevant to the business goal? Really? It is if his business goal is to HAVE a business. You don't pay people, they won't do the work. They don't do the work, you don't have a business. So.....
