My dentist areas still have a wall full of filing cabinets containing all patient info and x rays.
Is your dentist located in 1970? They still have a spit sink? I went to get my teeth cleaned and while sitting there I thought I was having some weird muscle contractions in my back. It turned out to be back rollers in the seat. If it wasn't so expensive going to a dentist might almost be something to look forward to doing.

Far cry from the days I remember when they used to hire dental hygienists that were trained in advanced torture techniques all the while saying "if you flossed better I wouldn't have to dig so deep". ;):)

Just a reminder today that Memorial day is about all those men and women that died in the job of securing our democracy or helping others achieve theirs. A message that has never been more needed than right now.

There are so many that confuse it with veterans in general. It is not that. As a veteran I can tell everyone that I obviously never made the ultimate sacrifice. I got home to have a family and a long life. Everytime I see that black wall in Washington, my heart sinks a little. Thanks to all those that made that sacrifice and allowed the rest of us to have this privileged life.

Yes, I will NEVER forget that.
Unfortunately, people like me are a dying breed.
Sometimes, I weep for the future.

Those are were sold up north, but not a big seller. Just all beef franks, not those red skinned ones that snapped when you bite into them. They were a novelty, special occasion purchase.

We always got them at a butcher shop called Wiatrek’s Meat Market in my Pop’s hometown of Poth, Texas (can’t remember the meat market in Moms home town of Shiner, Texas). To me anyway, they were never a novelty, they were just really darn good…!!!!! :hungry:

What company still has filing cabinets…?!!!!! 🤔:hilarious:
That's what's even more funny about it. We pretty much have the soft close cabinets at our desks and that's it. I really haven't seen any filing cabinets.

At my previous job, however, the previous controller insisted on keeping all of our sales tax returns in a filing cabinet pre COVID. This was in 2019 and made it extremely difficult when we were all working from home.

They have a vacuum mechanism that removes the liquid instantly while the procedure is happening. I haven't seen a spit sink for over 10 years. Even in Vermont which isn't big enough to have a major city. Sorry, I was joking and didn't realize that they still existed. My bad!

According to Google, the median income in Wyoming is around 33k, North Dakota is 36k. So it really depends on where you live.
Absolutely matters. I retired 12 years ago and was making my top salary for my entire career of a little over 50K. It wasn't until I moved to NC that I was aware the pay for "most" jobs was why higher here than in Vermont. Yet, the cost of living was higher in Vermont than in NC. That was the main reason why my children and their families moved here and out of Vt. It's a nice place to visit but expensive to live there.

They were good, but because of cost were considered a novelty. We all liked them just didn't have them often.

My doctor's office has plenty of them. They also have mostly everything on computer, as well. (There are various, original documents that need to be saved, plus some older files. Some items can be scanned, but in certain instances, the originals may need to be produced. Also, in those cases, if the computer system goes down, they still have the paper copies available.)

The dentist's office is the same way -- file cabinets upstairs, and computer systems on the patient floor.

Maybe it's just more of a medical office preference, to also keep file cabinets, for specific things. (There are also off-site document storage companies that store cases of files for various companies.)

Yea, we have zero. It’s all on our server.
