When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Have an awesome, awesome time. Can't wait 'til Friday.Ready for a big surprise?! Here it comes: I'm going to WDW on an early morning flight tomorrow!!I'll be back Thursday night.
I didn't say anything sooner, because it was touch and go (for weeks) as to whether I could travel at this time. Seemed like everything wrong kept piling up recently: extra busy at work, battling with insurance companies over car repairs (another driver backed into our car), and just trying to manage the budget.
And then when I was sure I could finally pull this off, two days ago, I had a minor injury to my eye! Literally, up to this morning, I was debating whether to postpone the whole thing (my airline tickets are good for a year, but I'd probably lose one night's fee for the hotel). But by mid-morning today, my eye was a lot better. So, WDW, here I come!
Just pulled my suitcase out of the closet, so I suppose I should probably start packing soon. That might be a good idea.
Oh, to @seahawk7 , and @Andrew C , I hope you both have a great trip with your families. To everyone else, I don't have a smartphone or anything that will keep me "connected" while I'm down there, so I'll say so long for now, until Friday. Note: I did try to find a disposable digital camera at Walgreens today, but they didn't have any. I wanted to take some pictures for you. Maybe I'll try to find one in a gift shop at my hotel, or even a film camera, because maybe the film pictures might be able to get scanned after they're developed, when I get back. I'll see what I can find down there. (Hubby said I could take his digital, but it's an expensive one, and I didn't want anything to happen to it--I'd much prefer just a cheap disposable). As usual, he hates flying, and WDW is not his "thing". So every year I go, he stays home with the dog. He said they're both happy though, because the two of them can make a big mess, and not have to clean up anything until just before I come back!) Anyway, twice a day, I call home and give him the full update of the day's activities.

Oh Eric, your innocence is now lost forever.I had never heard that either. It gave me a good laugh after I looked it up though.
Sadly, mine too.
Although, truth be told, I did sort of guess correctly before checking.

Also, on my iPad screen that looks like a butcher block countertop. Given the undermount sink, it's clearly not. Some kind of quartz?
Anyway, pretty cool. All it needs is a kegerator. I have one in my family room.
Yes, bar sink. And, that is, indeed, a butcher block/wood countertop with an undermount sink. It's done all the time.

Re - needing a kegerator:
Every bar? Perhaps.
Every family room? Not at all.
Sadly, nowhere else to put it until that basement opens up for storage, and everything in the rec room can be moved around.
No biggie though. Getting all new furniture in July, right about the time Adopted Son hopefully moves out.

Was 84 and sunny here today. Rained most of the week, and Lord knows we need it, but glad it cleared up last night.

Wow! What a surprise, I hope you have a lot of fun! Is this a solo trip then? If you are able to find a disposable camera with film, when you get it developed the developer can put the pictures on a CD for you, it might cost a couple bucks more, but it will be easier to load into your computer. Anyway, have a great time and I look forward to hearing about your trip!

We had phase one of our garage sale today, phase two is in two weeks at my sister's house.
Good news: we got rid of a lot of stuff, we made $87.70 (our stuff is priced cheap), and it was gorgeous weather.
Bad news: my body aches from setting up and taking down all the stuff.

Yep, by far, most countertops in the homes we design are granite or marble.

I've had 2 corneal abrasions over the years. So beyond not fun.

Fortunately, we've never had any issues with DME. We check our bags here in Austin, and they show up in a timely manner at our resort room.
