Don't know about else where but here in Charleston SC Dunkin donuts suck. They used to be made on site now they are made at som central facility and sent to the stores. Used to be you could count on them being fresh --now the last few times I have gone they were for a better word stale. One more place I don't go to any more
Dunkin where I go get delivered the donuts and bagels ( if you call it that ) at 430am by truck and the place opens at 5am. By 3pm the donuts are rock hard and stale .

They're an extra rich jelly(more of a jam than jelly) donut with a bit of rectified spirit(pure grain alcohol) added to the dough to prevent it from getting too oily while frying. They're of Polish origin and yes there are several places to get them in Jersey, at least 2 in Garfield that are both good with each having a dedicated following. Traditionally eaten just before the start of Lent (Fat Tuesday)

Why can't bakeries like this be near me? Sadly, we have the traditional American bakery that's a little Italian mixed in. I want my Nordic bakery in London. I could have ate the whole store right there.

I went to one near Hilton Head recently and it was fine. Here they're definitely fresh. I also like their breakfast sandwiches. I don't drink coffee, so no comment there. I don't mind their chai lattes...but Starbucks is definitely superior in that category.

Of course, the very best donuts are in Hersheypark. They have this outside vendor that does mini donuts. They practically melt in your mouth. They also have Dunkin' there...but they're made offsite and shipped in, and the mini donuts are made there, so always get the mini donuts. They also do mini donut sundaes. So good.

Jello is a jelly like substance but not the same thing. Jelly is more a natural fruit process where Jello is practically all chemicals and want to be fruit flavors. Jello on toast would turn into colo(u)red water. Jelly would hold it's structure much better because of the pectin.
So you are admitting your previous response was wrong .

The best donuts I have had were at Sky Top Orchard NC. We go up there every year and buy apples you pick off the tree. They make apple donuts sooooooo good. They come out of the fryer hand handed them to you. Have yet to find good coffee out. I like a very strong dark coffee no milk no sugar.
I know where that is!! It stays packed during apple season.

Jello is a brand name that produces jelly in its range.
