This afternoon, I put lights (3 strings) on the Christmas tree. That's enough decorating for one day.

It is, indeed…!!!!!
I’m old enough to remember when the only 2 beers the Spoetzel Brewery produced were Shiner Premium and Shiner Bock, with Shiner Bock being seasonal, and you could only get them in Texas.
Now, there are several varieties, and Shiner Beer is distributed to every state in the Union, except Hawaii…!!!
When we lived in No Cal from ‘68-‘76 and visited Texas every summer, my Pop and uncles always made it a point to visit the Spoetzel Brewery, and they would take any of us kiddos who wanted to go along with them.
They had a tasting room/bar right off the main entrance. Not sure what the laws were back then, but us kiddos were definitely allowed in, and were snuck a few sips, here and there…!!!

I was going to conquer Mount Laundry, get some decorating done, relax and watch Christmas movies seeing we're going nowhere today. Well, the boys have made it so there's a change to my schedule. Yesterday I made roast chicken and roast veggies for dinner yesterday and seeing I was going to have the oven on I also made a LARGE batch of chili cornbread casserole which may or may not have contained groundhog. Anyhoo I found James digging into it last night so I'm going to make chicken rice soup today as well as doing my other chores thus cutting into movie watching timeI know, right?!
And today, I've gotta put the ornaments on the tree.
It's endless . . .
