He asked but they wouldn’t let him. But both the meds cost us only $7.
Mine is next year. They will let me get the pills or I will get mad. I can’t drink a whole gallon of that stuff. Nine years ago, I had the small bottle. I could handle it.
A few years ago, I had reason to use that "small bottle", 6 ounce I think, and man it cleaned everything including a candy bar I ate when I was 6 years old. It was as good as anything I ever used for the "tiny camera" procedure. Sadly, that reminds me that I am due for one of those photo sessions this year. They tell me that after I turn 75, next July, they won't do it anymore. So if they find nothing with that one, I'm on my own.

Sorry, not the most pleasant topic for a morning post.

Totally appropriate for my morning, though! 😂

I think it gets more dangerous as you get older. My father-in-law almost died from one because they caused a perforation, which caused sepsis. He was in bad shape for quite a while.

We have an LG refrigerator that the compressor died (defective design) 9 years old not under warranty still in perfect condition; we brought a Whirlpool replacement. Told the wife i can't bring myself to trash it and told her I was going to fix it. Her eyes rolled like yea right. Did a search on line showed what to do so I bought a new compressor (Embraco)$210, 2 relays $20, filter dryer $9, can of R 134A freon $ 8. LG service wanted $1000 to fix and said your better off buying a new one. Well the refrigerator/ freezer is working great. The wife was shocked

We fixed our glass top for about 50. For grins giggles and feeling a bit lazy I called and some company said those are never worth repairing. A couple of years later it's still working well. BTW this was a sales repair place we never went to as our regular place was closed for vacation. The usual place is family run so if one goes on vacation, they all go together. Can be a pita in emergencies for a couple of weeks each summer if you don't want to drive by and get their repair person's number off the window

Women... they always underestimate us. Not that they aren't right to do so, but even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Are you ready for this?

Are you? Ready?

I woke up in the middle of the thing(!)

Before: whole staff was awesome, made me feel very comfortable, discussed what would happen when they pushed the propofol - and it happened, I was out.

And then: I woke up as if from a nightmare, like raising my torso while letting out what I can only describe as a horror movie gasp!

I felt three people push me back down and say, “It’s OK, you’re alright.” I said, “Sorry, I forgot where I was” and upon finishing that sentence, I was back out.

Nuts!

Am I assuming that we are talking about a Colonoscopy, am I correct? I have had a few since I turned 50 (24 years ago) and have stayed awake for everyone of them. In fact I made them position me so I could watch the same screen that they were watching. It was awesome. I watched them find and remove polyps in real time. It was the most fascinating TV show I ever watched.

So far I have seen the full length of my colon, the inside of my bladder, the openings where the kidneys drain into the bladder, my prostate and urethra, I have seen all my x-rays and MRI's, (not that I can figure them out). My chest x-rays, spine and neck and the hardware they put in for the fusion. Oh, yea I even have photos of my installed Pacemaker and the wires that run up into an artery and where they attach to the heart muscle. It's not particularly photogenic but it is fascinating to see.

I’ll just say that when we watch Doctor shows on TV, and they show an operation scene, I look at my phone and Brian tells me what happened. 🤣

But yes, this was both an upper endoscopy and colonoscopy. I know the former had been completed, because I was able to speak. Never been offered the option to stay awake - it would save a few bucks - probably wouldn’t watch, though.

Everybody is different. I can tell you though is if you cannot speak during a colonoscopy the doctors have probably gone to far. 🥴 ;)
