I really like the design of the brickwork on the landings (going down the steps) in that 3rd photo. That's quite unique -- beautiful !!

That’s a herringbone brick pattern.
Brick, and patterned block screening, are making a bit of of a comeback these days, as many folks are turning to updated mid-century modern designs, but so many still prefer more modern, or even updated traditional designs, like the second to last pic. The last pic is actually Karl Rove’s residence.
All are designs from our firm.

Here are the pictures I took of our grocery store.

This is our soda section...it also includes iced tea drinks.

And here's the entire drink aisle, including juices and soda, etc.

Chips. You can see that it's cut off there is no longer chips. That's crackers and nuts.

And cereal....the one picture is one shelving unit, the other is the one next to it. One contains pretty much exclusively oat varieties that people eat with their yoghurt. The other contains more oats/granola, and then the bottom 4 shelves are our cereal selection: Corn flakes, cornflakes, and more cornflakes, tresor, cheerios, and coco crispies. And Smacks. That's it.

Funny thing is…
I pretty much only drink water and beer,
I eat whatever chips happen to be around, and I can’t even remember the last time I had a bowl of cereal, so I’m OK with all that…!!!!! :hilarious:

Wow. I'm always amazed by the designs your firm comes up with. They almost remind me of expensive vacation properties in exotic locations (like, in a magazine).

Very early select mornings pre covid there was a surfing school option at Typhoon Lagoon. Pay one price to surf the waves, instructors present and can teach you, that are bigger waves are specifically generated to the surfer crowd. Never tried it but looked like fun. Approx 100 waves to ride, $165 per person 3-4 hours. What's nice is the surfing school is limited to no more than 30 guests. Perhaps need to wake up at 4-5am, catch the Disney bus to make it there by 6am. In Honolulu when I was there, surfers were already surfing when many were still asleep.

Thanks so much, Minnie…!!! :)
Honestly, it amazes me too too how far the firm has come over the years. But, high-end clients demand the best, and you need to be on your game to continue to give them your best.
And, we’re not just local, as we’ve done stuff all over the country, and even internationally.
As stressful as it can be much of the time, I’m still so very blessed and glad to be a part of it…!!! :)

ETA…
And, we’ve actually had much of our work in many mags…!!! ;)

There are a lot of things that go on in decadent New Orleans especially during Madri Gras that are not for the faint of heart and that's putting it lightly. King cake with friends was special, then more drinking, eating, parade enjoyment, what people will do for the beads! With bars open pretty much 24 hrs a day during Mardi Gras, some peoples logic goes out the window .

I haven’t seen any actual reports, but, with the first real Mardi Gras celebration in NOLA in about 2 years, I was predictin’ vomit flowin’ in the streets on Fat Tuesday…!!!!! 🤣:hilarious:

When I was in New Orleans back in the day, it reminded me of the way the overnight cast members clean the streets of theme parks. First thing in the morning the theme park streets are nice , clean and wet due to the streets being hosed at night, similar process on Bourbon Street to clean up any residue from the massive crowds.
