It was around the 14th of this month, there was a visible Geminid meteor shower (shooting stars). Even though the weatherman mentioned this, I didn't expect I'd see any.

So, I was up at 4 AM that morning, and I opened the back door to put something in the outside barrel -- and what do I see?! OMG -- against the dark sky, I saw a LONG streak of light!! Very cool.

This is not my photo (Express & Star credit for photo), but it looked just like this --

My oldest son and wife and 2 boys (age 4 and 3 )are at WDW right now with his wifes side of the family. Today is my sons birthday hope Disney does something special for him.

I posted this back in 2017

My oldest son is now 37 years old and my middle son is 34. When they were 10 and 7 we took them to Disney World (early 1990) each got to pick out a Micky lolly pop from one of the shops on main street. The 7 year old ate his and within a short time it was gone. The 10 year old never unwrapped his and when we got home he saved his and to this day he still has it in the freezer. In late 1990 I had a meeting outside Disney and went to one of the shops on main street to get him another Micky lolly pop. I was told by the cast member they no longer made the extra large ones so i got him the largest they had (as a joke). he saved that one too and now has that one in his freezer along with the original. My wife and I spent our 40 th anniversay May 2017 at WDW and got my oldest son another Mickey lolly pop which is slighly smaller than the original. He was thrilled and guess where that one is -- in his freezer with the other two. That has now become a running joke in our family and every time we go to WDW he will get another Mickey lolly pop.

My son will be looking for another Mickey lollypop to add to his collection in the freezer I hope they have them and they are not part of the merchandize shortage.
Happy birthday to him! So many December birthdays!! I hope they have a great time in Disney and find another lollypop to add to the collection.

@Songbird76 , may I wish you a happy (but belated) birthday!! I found a nice windmill and tulips cake for you to have. :) (Also, happy December birthday greetings to A, as well.)

P.S.: (Sorry for my delay -- December is such a busy month, and my sister also has her birthday at this time as well -- so I always have to write down her date on the calendar, as I'd forget hers if I didn't!)
Thank you! Boy, you guys are going to have to help me eat all this cake!

I totally get it with the busy month. We have A's birthday on the 3rd, Sinterklaas on the 5th, my birthday on the 9th, one of my friends here (well, now she lives in Germany) and her son both on the 11th, another friend here on the 13th, my nephew's and E's Godmother on the 16th, and another friend here on the 19th, then Christmas. My Ex-SIL's is the 28th, so we used to have hers as well. December is always ridiculously busy, though not so much this year now that we're in lockdown, plus my in-laws had covid so we couldn't get together for anything. In some ways it was kind of nice not to be running 6 ways from Sunday, but I also felt bad that we haven't been to visit my in-laws for weeks, and that feels wrong at this time of year.

Hey all, a more sad post from me today. Troop 610, my home for the last 12 years, has officially disbanded. 610 was my home through the good times and the bad. Even though I aged out in 2018 and was pretty much non existent in the tropp for what little of 2020 we could have together, it still hurts.
Sorry to hear the news about your troop. At least you'll have good memories of the times you had wit them, not to mention all of your contributions to others while there. You can be proud of the time you spent with your fellow scouts.
